Or a momentary lapse of judgement...

Years (50) of offroad travel finally caught to me and I picked up an LR3. I've been watching and looking at them for a while and found a one owner- one LR dealer serviced- HSE.

I'll add a picture as soon as I get the film developed.

Congrats on taking the plunge. I pick mine up Monday morning. Today almost feels like December 23rd, or twould days before a fantasy football draft...hahaha. Looking forward to your pics!

Rookies - I've owned my 2007 for a little over two years now. You won't regret it. It sure is nice having 300 HP under the hood after all those years of the Rover V-8 in Range Rovers and Discoverys.

The day I picked it up... with a nice little 12 hour drive home to get acquainted

AWESOME backdrop! Wonder where I'll stage the new addition on Monday... (wheels turning).

Everyone who's been there wants to know how I got that shot without a crowd of people on the steps. They had just opened the street along the river after some heavy flooding and the day was sort of crappy.
There was one person sitting on the steps off to the left but I pulled up in a no parking zone, jumped out of truck, ran across the street and grabbed a couple of quick shots with a 17mm lens.

I also found this coke oven on the side of the road in the Land Between the Lakes National Park on the way back to Atlanta.

Or you can get a picture in your back yard like this:

Wow, I've actually been to both the Arch AND the LBL coke oven. I grew up near Evansville, IN and spent a lot of time on Kentucky Lake before I escaped the midwest.

What is this "film" stuff you speak of?

Forum etiquette: You know how it's annoying to scroll a thread only to see the same images quoted and reposted over and over taking up all the space on the page with nothing new to see ....? ;)

No need to quote the photo from just one above or same page...

Wow, look at the distortion in your lens! You'd never notice without seeing things that are supposed to be straight.

That oven is cool. Nice trip. Your back yard looks like a good place to build a terrain course like at the dealerships. ;)

Strange. On other threads where I've quoted with images included, some of them have been auto-truncated. Deleted since it was such a nuisance. Next time just shoot me a PM...

I have a bad habit of not stopping to take pictures- even if the shot would be fabulous. Personally, it kinda spoils the moment for me. But I have a lot of unbelievably beautiful images in my mind... this LR3 will hopefully add to that list.
