2007 4Runner and tow pkg

I was looking at a 4Runner that doesn't have a trailer hitch. If it doesn't have the tow pkg does that mean it has no interior wiring to hook one up or if one were to add a hitch, would the connectors be at the rear of the truck to add 7/4 pin wiring connector, as shown, and is there a connector under the dash for a brake controller. Thanks.

After spending 2 hours on line yesterday, I'm not surprised no one can answer this question. It seems to be some deep dark secret as to what comes with or without a 4Runner equipped or not equipped with the tow package. I'm going to cancel my viewing of this 4Runner because I don't want to find out that I've got to rip the entire interior apart to run wiring for towing.

Sorry, didn't see this until now. Look underneath the 4runner. I believe they all came with the 7 wire connector.

My '07 did not have the factory hitch but it did have the factory 7 wire connector and the connecting block under the dash for the brake controller. I installed both myself (the hitch was a U Haul, brake controller was a Prodigy P2 that's on my Suburban now.

One thing I noticed about the factory 7 pin connector was that the bolt-on hitch blocked it a bit so I had to disconnect the socket from the bracket that held it in place. No biggie, there's not enough wire for it to drag.

Stopped by the dealer this morning for a quick look and it does have a 7 pin plug under the rear bumper so it looks like a hitch is all I need. I'm going to take a better look later today as it was covered in snow from our storm yesterday. It's only got 74,000 kms on it and looks very clean.
