Here's the build of my 2007 5.9 CTD. The snorkel is from Expeditioneers and is made in Australia. I've installed a complete set of Power Wagon skids, including the PW steering stabilizer skid which needs a bit of modification to install on a diesel. I wrote a “how to” article and posted over on the “dieseltruckresource” forum at:

It has the Kore Recon suspension upgrade, Carli Long Travel Air Bags, a Warn 12000lb Winch, and Hella off road lights. The engine is completely stock for reliability. I just picked up a “Ready Welder II” and stowed it on board. All I need to do is install onboard air and then I'll have the truck the way I want it.
The truck is equipped with a high power HF ham radio for reliable world-wide communications. The radio is a Yaesu FT-857D which drives a Henry Radio SS-750 mobile amplifier. The amp runs just about 1 KW output on all bands except 15 and 10 meters where output drops to about 700 watts. The Henry amplifier necessitated the addition of a booster battery nearby so there's a gel battery mounted under the back seat. There is also an APRS/GPS tracking radio on board which allows the truck to be tracked via the internet from anywhere in the world. If you'd like to see where the truck is this very minute click on this link:

The truck has a much modified 1996 “Four Wheel/All Terrain” Hybrid Camper. I've installed dual Die-Hard Platinum gel batteries in the camper, a 1.5 KW inverter, an Engel 45 freezer, a Microwave oven, removed the “Ice Box” and converted that area to a pantry. A 5 gallon Specter fuel can is mounted on the rear of the camper. New soft sides, new arctic pack, and added storage cabinets have been installed.. I also installed dual “fantastic fans” which really make a difference in the warm weather.
For power, I have a small Yamaha 1 KW generator which will run the microwave and charge batteries if I'm parked for several days at a time. Counting the camper batteries, the vehicle has 5 large gel batteries. The alternator has been upgraded to a 275 amp unit.
I'm retiring the end of this year, and first major trip with the rig will be four months heading north to British Columbia, Yukon Territories, Alaska, and Northwest Territories. Lots of fishing, photography, and hunting.
See you all at Overland Expo in a couple weeks.....
Photo's 1 &2 how it looks now.
Photo 3 Rear seat flipped up and all the electronics exposed.
Photo 4 The most difficult mod: drilling a 4" hole in the fender:Wow1:
