Description: This is a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 2500HD Ext. Cab SLT, with a 6.0L V8 and manual transmission. We purchased the truck bone stock in 2011. Over the course of five years the main upgrades included extra fuel tank, custom straight axle swap, 37x12.5R16.5 tires on double beadlock HMMWV rims, NV4500 5-speed manual transmission swap with low granny gear, and manual shift NP261HD transfer case. Feel free to scroll through our ExPo Build Thread for the catalog of the project. The truck was built for off-road travel in mind and competed in numerous Nevada Trophy rallies. The truck will do anything from rock crawling, general trail riding, and cruising down the freeway at 80 mph without issue. Has 169,000 miles. Average fuel mileage is around 10-12 mpg. Full details can be seen in the post below or on the build thread of the truck. It has been a west coast truck all its life so is completely rust-free. We have recently moved back to Minnesota from living in Winnemucca, NV for five years so it still has a Nevada title.
Price: $18,500 O.B.O. (willing to negotiate within reason)
Known Problems: There are a few issues mainly concerning dash lights with the ECU. The new front axle doesn't have ABS sensors, although they can be machined on. The hubs need 40 pin ABS rings machined on the inner ring and ABS sensors welded to the 6-bolt spindles. The ABS connectors on the vehicle are still in place and ready to be put to use once again, however the ABS and parking brake light are illuminated on the dash. Another issue is the 4x4 system has some components missing due to the removal of the front stock axle and the automatic push button transfer case. This causes the 4x4 light to illuminate on the dash. This can be fixed through computer programming of the ECU. Finally, the check engine light is on because of the clutch pedal sensor is not hooked up into the automatic computer. This causes an error in the starting system of the computer. The truck starts with no issues, however there is no clutch safety switch as a result. Also the emissions charcoal canister is throwing a code, common on NBS GM trucks from 99 to 07.
The truck demonstrating its flex capability.
On an offroad trip through Death Valley NP.
Making its way through Steele Pass in Death Valley NP.
Competing in a minigame during the 2015 Nevada Trophy rally.
Coming down an incline.
Demonstrating the refueling system.
Climbing a peak in 2016.
Blasting through the snow late this spring.
