2007 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon. Jeep has been a DD, crawling, Expo, adventure rig since Dec 2006; original owner. This is a do it all build. There is a scrape and dent on the passenger, rear door upper frame (tree scrape), and typical NW pinstripes. No other body damage, ever.

Very nice rig. I'm not a buyer, however, I'd like to get your opinion on the overall performance of your JK. It appears to be about as loaded as it can get, so how do you like the supercharger/5.13 setup? When did you install the charger? I'm wavering between V8 or s/c right now and any input you can offer, especially highway and overland style travel specific would be awesome. PM is fine.

Love the SC; best mod yet. Incredible performance, throttle response and power. Turn-key reliability. 37s-38s are a great match for SC and 5.13 ring & pinion. Takes rig right back to stock ratio and driveability. Gained 1.5 MPG with SC install, and a ton of go go.

SC was installed last Summer. Love it more every time the key turns.

I personally have no interest in a V8 install; SC does the same thing with far less weight and permanent modification. If I ever decided to dump the $$$$ for a V8, I would go with a GM LS motor - without a doubt.

Highly recommend RIPP.

Thanks so much for your reply and insight. I've spent a lot of time going back and forth between the S/C and doing an LS swap, but haven't really received any solid feedback until now, especially from people with a rig built & loaded down with "expedition" gear. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, I think I'll be calling RIPP today!
