2007 Mercedes G55 AMG
My wife bought this G-Wagon when we started breeding to protect our babies in the event of a collision, and also to never worry about getting stuck regardless of where we drove. We bought it from a member here on Expo. Purportedly we are the 3rd owners. It has been nicely dialed in for both on- and off-road travel, much more so since we've owned it and sunk $15k into chasing down every issue then repairing or replacing components. Including the list of work completed would bore the casual window shoppers here, but I'm happy to share this info.
The vehicle handles very well and is a lot of fun to drive. It goes fast. It goes anywhere. Fox shocks, 35" tires, tow hitch with wiring, roof bars, plenty of lighting, heated windshield, full-time all-wheel-drive with high- and low-gearing plus triple locking differentials, and of course the supercharged V8 are all noteworthy. If you add a new in-dash screen with Apple CarPlay you'll have a gutsier Grenadier for half the price and with none of the problems.
On the downside, this G-Wagon has a couple spots of pin stripping and a little bump near a tail light (evident in the photos) and some of the 2007-era mod cons have not aged well (rear disc changer, outdated nav app, little seat adjustment buttons next to the driver); minor quirks which give the vehicle character, in my opinion.
