Heh looks like I wasn't the only one buying a new car this weekend. I'm keepin' my truck too though! :)

Your Frontier is in an immaculate shape so it should sell pretty easily. Good luck!

What did you buy!? I really like the Jetta. The turbo Diesel engine is a blast and it handles like a little go kart. I got 44 mpg round trip on the freeway Saturday and fully expect 48-50 mpg when I head to see my family as it is 2 lane the whole way.

Great choice! congrats! A friend of mine has a 2011 TDi Jetta Wagon since new and he loves it. He has a few other fun cars in his fleet (STi, S2000, Cayman).

I went for something a bit more tame but I already have a 2" lift, 32" tires and manual hubs (when I want to save gas coasting downhill) on order...

That's just like you stioc to announce your new vehicle in someone else's thread... :sombrero: But nice choice anyway, I've heard great reviews.

And DuckHunter very solid choice, new or used? And as far as hauling goes I recommend a diesel, and of course a Dodge/Ram :)

Hmm :) you have me wondering now. I found it an interesting coincidence that duckhunter bought a new car the same day I did so I posted about it but kinda irrelevant to ExPo :)

I love that! A Honda is normally my first choice, but I really wanted to try something of the diesel variety. My Jetta is a brand new 2013. They are having big sales right now so I got a great deal on it!

I drove the Jetta 1,000 miles this weekend to see my sister in Des Moines, IA and got 41 mpg going up and 43 mpg coming back. This is with the cruise set at 80 and a/c blasting. It should improve as the engine breaks in as well. I really like my Jetta and will post up a pic when the tint shop finishes up with it this afternoon.

I think I'm going with a budget 4x4 to get me through the hunting season and winter weather and will upgrade to a Tahoe or something similar next year so that I can finish up my stinking house remodel!

Not exactly what we're used to looking at on this site, but it is definitely a fun (and economical!) little ride! And yes, that is 381.6 miles on half of a 14.5 gallon tank of diesel!

I think what we're least used to seeing is 45.5 mpg, I'm jealous  Now if only I could find a cherry W123 Diesel Merc...

Thanks man! I think I'll be getting 48-50 mpg this weekend, so I'm stoked to see how it does.

I've also had a change of heart. I can't bear the guilt of sending my Frontier down the road with somebody else, so it will most likely stay in the garage with the Jetta!

I'm liking the little Jetta! Such a cool little car. We need more diesels like that in the US.

And glad to hear you're keeping the Fronty. Such a beautiful truck to let go of!
