Thanks, hoping to get more done quicker, but it's getting there.
That chassis is for the red/black truck. I started on it a few years ago and then it got sidelined by the SAS for our blue truck, kiddo #1, now this project and likely kiddo #2. One day I'll get around to finishing it.

.......I've been considering a couple of options for the accessory drive, dual alternators or maybe even a york 210 and a single big alternator. I'm worried the ARB won't have the output for the tires. Leaning hard towards selling it and going the York route.
Which ARB do you have? For what it's worth, my ARB twin does a great job at filling my 40's from ~22psi to 40psi surprisingly quickly.. Like I have to be checking the tire pressure pretty quickly to make sure I don't overshoot 40psi.

^ It's the twin. That's good to hear. I'll have to do a test with the identical unit in my other truck and time it. During hunting season (6-8 weeks) I find myself airing up/down almost daily. That's driving the desire for a really quick system.

Started cycling/trimming for the tires on Saturday, almost full droop in this photo.

Far less trimming required than I expected. Definitely won't clear chains in the front under full compression though...

Took a break from that and extended the rear wiring harness to compensate for the stretch.

Perfect little home for this junction. Now all the rear lights/harness will go with the deck and it's a single plug to remove it.

Power steering cooler installed. I think I'll revisit this and the trans cooler in a few years and put in additional cooling. Time will tell on that one.

No idea why but this was leaking immediately. It looked perfectly sound. It must have got twisted when I was inserting the shaft.

Ditching these 2-piece seals and going with the standard 1-piece old school design.

Started on the hydro assist and stopped quickly. Originally, I wanted to position the ram like this:

However, packaging was proving to be incredibly difficult. So I'm going this route, which means a new diff cover because I don't want to attempt welding to this cast Yukon unit.

Had a setback with the rear driveshaft design, apparently a steady bearing that mates to a 1410 flange for a double cardan is not a common piece... Going to revisit that tomorrow and finalize the bits and pieces with the shop doing the work.

Also, I can't for the life of me decide on tail lights.

Maybe check out some Australian lights. They have such a huge selection since they use trays there way more than here. The shipping cost is usually surprisingly cheap as well.

^ I've looked at so many ute trays haha, the maxilamps that come on the Norweld decks are one of the nicer options out there. I think* I've found a pretty rad solution for the rear lights, I'm guessing/hoping it's the first time it's ever been done before. I have a few questions for the company before I can proceed, but if it works out, I'll be stoked.

Quick evening project, the stock wheel was starting to get soft and gummy.

Picked this from the junkyard for $30. Nice little upgrade. It'll look more in its place once I do the dash trim as well.

Also picked up some 2" rigid wall fuel line, pricy stuff. I need to get a properly angled fuel filler neck, but this is roughly where it's going to be located. It made the most sense to locate it here, I can get a good amount of vertical drop to the tank, and this corner was already compromised for a box by the lift pump. I've done more research than I care to admit on fuel filler hose locations, my rough understanding is you want a quick drop immediately at the inlet and then it can level out and it won't backflow, hopefully this is enough.

I'm waiting on a few key parts to come in the mail later this week and next week. Progress is going to be metered until those items arrive.

I have installed a bunch of flatbeds and workbeds, if you make a jig for the fuel fill hose then heat it and cool it a few times with a heatgun, it will mold to the shape you need, patience is the key.

Your trucks are fantastic to watch develop and I for one enjoy your posts, thank you for the hard work and I hope you and your family enjoy many years with them.
