Observer
Some vehicles are just for A to B. Others earn their place and stamp their mark on the miles between A and B.
This is my 2008 Land Rover LR3 HSE — a rig built to roam, and one that’s done exactly that. I flew to West Palm Beach in 2016 to buy it from another EP User at 55k miles and drove it home to Oklahoma. Before that, it spent its early life in Seattle. Since then, it's been everywhere: through the backroads of West Texas, the mesas of New Mexico, up and down the rugged San Juan Mountains in Colorado, and through most every inch of Oklahoma.
It has waded creeks and streams while keeping the cabin bone dry—though I can’t say the same for my pants. It’s climbed, crawled, and cruised without complaint, and then eaten the long highway miles home like nothing happened. This truck doesn’t just drive—it tells stories.
And yes—this is without a doubt the most reliable Land Rover that Land Rover has ever built. Go ahead and laugh, but nearly everything done to this vehicle has been either preventative or a thoughtful upgrade to improve the ownership experience—not a scramble to keep it alive.
The Essentials:
Maintenance & Upgrades:
Included Extras & Spares:
Condition:
Mechanically, it’s rock solid. Engine, suspension, air ride, and 4WD all function exactly as they should. It has never left me stranded and has never even had a flat!
Like many Land Rovers, it has some warning lights that love to hang around:
Why I’m Selling:
I recently picked up a Toyota Tundra and don’t have the ability to keep both. This LR3 has a lot of life and adventure left in it—and it deserves someone who’ll keep the story going. I believe it is priced fairly, taking into account the extensive preventative maintenance, upgrades, and all the quality spares included with the sale. I have no concerns this LR3 can make it well past 250k....
Price: $10,000 – Reasonable offers considered.
Location: Tulsa, OK.
Not a showroom queen. Not a neglected Rover. Just a well-used, well-loved, well-sorted truck with soul.

Like many Land Rovers, it has some warning lights that love to hang around:
- TPMS light – Sensors are present, but it takes a Land Rover tech to reset them. (I refuse to take it to LR) Doesn’t affect drivability.
- Check Engine Light – It's for the low coolant temp code. The engine just runs a couple degrees cooler than spec. during the fall and winter. No overheating, no issues—just a finicky sensor.
