If you’re in the market for an H3T, this one has all the goodies. It’s fully optioned from the factory, well maintained, and upgraded with thousands in hard to find parts. This truck get’s more looks and comments than anything else i’ve owned, and it’s a long list.
I didn’t really ever plan on selling this and but for some crazy life changes this year it wouldn’t be for sale. I’ve owned this for over 10 years, and have put 70k miles on it. It’s been my daily driver / adventure rig and has never failed to get us home. We will miss it, but I don’t need 2 trucks.
We typically camp (or overland as the cool kids say) alone so our motivation has always been to get to somewhere remote and get back in one piece while towing our offroad trailer, not find the gnarliest trail possible. Trailer is also for sale.
The truck has been to Land Between the Lakes (LBL), on the Kentucky Adventure Trail (KAT), Daniel Boone BackCountry Byway, Appalachian Mountains, Drummond Island, A complete circle of Michigan’s Upper Pensinsula, couple thousand miles across Canada, and more state and national parks and forests than I can recall.
I’ve done all maintenance myself. When upgraded parts were available I used those, if not high quality replacement parts like AC Delco or Moog were used. Truck is not Mint, but it’s in really good shape for it’s age.
Last spring the truck had a rust issue where mud and sand sat on top of the driver leaf spring perch and rusted it through. At that point I had the decision to patch it together and trade it in, or fix it for the long haul. I wasn’t ready to trade in the truck, so I spent the entire summer and about $3k in parts rebuilding that section of the frame, as well as cleaning up, rustproofing, and rebuilding the entire back half of the truck. It’s in better than new condition, and If I didn’t mention it, i’m confident no buyer would notice.
We literally left on a two+ thousand mile roadtrip through the Appalachian Mountains 2 days after it rolled out of the garage; I'm confident in my work. I would not have gone to that amount of effort or spend that money if I thought I was going to sell the truck a year later.
Would prefer to sell this whole, but I'd entertain offers on some of the larger bolt-on's, dm me.
Major Upgrades:
Tires and Rims
Engine
Driveline
Interior
Brakes
Front Suspension
Rear suspension
Paint and Body
Extras
$27.5k
