2010 patriot soft roader build.

I'm curious about the plastidip stuff. Where do you buy it? Do your spray or paint it on? Did you remove the Jeep emblem, apply the plastidip, then reattach the emblem?

Looks good!

You buy it from auto part stores and home depot or lowes. You do not take the emblem off. You spray directly on it and then peel off the the part you did not want to cover. You can go to google it to read more or you can go to youtube and search plasti dip videos or how to.

You can get it at any auto store or Home Depot etc. I did my whole grille but if you were to do the emblem you should mask off around it and spray the emblem. Let it dry and apply a few coats and then peel off the excess dip.

I would have gone with the oem but I didn't really wanna pay $130 for a trailer harness. I am gonna install this little guy on Saturday hopefully I wont be eating my words lol.

I got my curt trailer harness installed today.

It took me around 2 hours...mainly i didn't want the wires just strung everywhere and the tail lght just shoved back on there. So I took my time and made it neat. I also used some harness cover stuff lol for the life of me I can't remember what its called.

I didn't have time to hook up my trailer this evening but I tested the trailer plug with a multimeter and so far so good. Hopefully tomorrow I can hook the trailer up.

I told my dad that I installed the trailer harness last night, and said good, go hook your trailer up I gotta go get some stuff lol. I had planned to hook it up anyway so why not try it out and see how it towed lol.

So far so good. All the lights worked as they should. This is the first time i've ever towed anything with a 4cylinder. ..and I gotta say it did really well, except I could definitely tell that I was driving a 4cylinder. Im not sure how much my trailer weighs but I put about 300 pounds in it so im guessing somewhere around 600 pounds. None the less it towed pretty good but I can definitely say that I will be purchasing the oil cooler in the future.

Welcome to the Liberty club! I have only had mine since January of 2015. So far it has been in Vermont snow, PA trails, Colorado mountain trails, and five of Utah's national parks(including white rim trail in Moab). I outfitted my to be overlandish. On the Utah trip two friends and I lived out of it for about two weeks. So far the only thing I have done with it is put on really good stock size tires (BFG KO2s). It has gotten me, my friends, and my gear everywhere we want to go. I do want to lift it, under armor it, slightly bigger tire it, and put a grill guard on it. But really that is about it. Honestly, for it's price, you are hard pressed to find a more capable vehicle. Just a little extra $$ would turns it into a much more capable vehicle.

Have fun!

Awww man. Yea that is what I get for trying to multitask. lol. The computer I am on doesn't load pics. Otherwise I would have seen the difference between the two vehicles. I suppose I could have just read the thread title as well. :/

Meh. Either way they are underrated vehicles in my opinion.

Well its been a while since I updated on the ol expo so here we go...a not so update!

Well Im stoked about xmas, i am getting most of the things on my list to give my rig a face lift!

Bad news...I don't wanna be secretive about anything but I am gonna hold out to share what im doing to it!

More bad news...I don't wanna pull my fascia off more than once so I have to have everything on my list before it goes under the knife. Which could take months due to weather and not having a garage...which sucks because I will just be collecting stuff until it gets nice outside...
