Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and the overland world. I just purchase a 2010 Toyota sequoia and plan on outfitting it for a spring trip to Alaska with my family.

Here are a few photos:

Here is a list of things already done:

*RevTech Lift - 2.5" front and 2.25" Rear (Purchased from dealer this way).
*275/65/r20 (34.1") BFG All-Terrain T/A KO Tires
*Rear Custom made cargo box
*Engel MT35 fridge
*PIAA Pro 80XT driving lights

Wish List to be done:

*ARB Sahara bar with winch
*Sliders
*Odyssey Battery - dual or one large battery? Not sure yet...
*Onboard shower
*Onboard air
*Rear locker
*AT Trailer with tent.

I have been reading and reading post for the past few month. Everyone is a wealth of knowledge. I want to build a bulletproof rig to take us to Alaska and back. If you have any ideas please let me know...

Thanks
Keefer

Very cool, looking forward to reading about your progress. There aren't a whole lot of built sequias period, let alone the latest gen. That thing should have plenty of room and power for whatever you need to take along. How many people are you taking with you to AK?

Taking my wife and two boys, ages 2 and 3. I'm finding out that there are not alot of sequoia builds. Most everything is going to have to be custom built. The size is why i went with the sequoia over the 4runner. The 4 runner was just to small. Im going to be pulling an AT trailer and with the 5.7 in the sequoia, you don't know it is even there....

Keefer, nice to see this. There are no lockers for the Sequoia as it has a 10" differential that is unique. A backburner project of mine is to build a differential for the Sequoia IRS using a Tundra 10.5" diff. The IF with this project... is there enough room? If there is, it will allow the installation of an ARB RD146 Tundra Locker. The other issue with the project is cost.

you're on your way to bulletproof.....maybe add some skidplates under the trans and transfer case, too?

The big tree looks good!

x2 on adding some skids. Not for hard core off road use, but for hitting/running over things in the road. And it never hurts to have extra protection when grinding along a rutted road.

bjowett,
I found out that nobody makes a locker right now for the new sequoia 10" rear. I talked with OX today and they said they would have a locker for this application out within a year.

I forgot to add skids to my to do list. I talked with Bud at Bubbuilt the other day. He is going to build me a set of skids out of stainless steel. I am going to have them powder coated black. The front is exactly like the Tundra and Bud is going to do a custom gas tank skid plate to fit the new sequoia. Bud was very helpful and was willing to go out of his way for me.
