Haven’t been able to do much cause it gets dark so early now with the time change and working all the time but did make time to get the hitch assembly built. Hopefully have this welded up tomorrow after work and then can get the trailer hooked up and see them together!

Got the hitch all welded up onto the rear Ibeam. I have to to a little trimming on the aluminum diamond plate cover so it clears the ball when it turns to unlock the pentel hook. But other than that it fits. Here’s a picture of the truck and trailer. More once I get the generator on and it all buttoned up

Got the Gen on the trailer, dropping the truck off at the shop to get a full service and glad hands for the trailer brakes tomorrow

Today I got the inside bins in the passenger side removed. Definitely makes it seem way bigger having both side opened up!

Also got the plumbing sorted out to gravity fill the 2 40 gallon water tanks.

So now that I had some time to work on it I’ve got the plumbing done from the water tanks through the filter and basically to the outlet where I will split it one for my cold water and one for my cold water into my hot water heater. Also got the bumper fitted to go over the hitch not much needed but just a little trimming.

Leaving tomorrow and heading do to vista CA, nothing crazy but will get an idea on fuel mileage and drivability and comfortability. Meeting a guy down there to hopefully give me a quote to build the interior. 👍🏼

How's it going we just picked up our rig this weekend. How difficult was it to remove the cabinets and overhead bin? What did you decide to do about the cab/box passthrough?

Heck yea!! Congrats looks super similar to mine! Did you get it out of phoenix area?? The inside where the seats were I just unbolted and the part where the hinged boxes were and cup holders are just all help together by pop rivets so I just drilled/ ground the heads off and those were easy to remove there is 3/4” foam insulation behind those side panels. As far as the over head bins they were kind of a pain to remove because everything is welded in place so what I had to do was use a cutoff wheel and cut the shelves off of the side walls. I left the 1” tubing on the roof and on the side walls to use as furring. As far as the pass thru goes we decided to go with a fixed bed up against the cab because obviously your only current access is thru the rear door so we can’t do your typical ambulance style setup so for that reason it is become more of a “crawl thru” we removed the back windows of both the cab and the box and then enlarged the opening as big as possible and then sealed it up with the accordion style weather-stripping. Would love to see more picture of your rig and get to talking more!

I have a line on these wheels and tires for the build but they are in CA although I’m pretty they are the correct bolt pattern for my rig the tires are 395/85r20 and I believe they are about 46” in diameter and my originals are 41” my only concern now is the brakes clearing. I believe these came off a LMTV which is the same 10x11.25 bolt pattern as my truck. And budd style
