Freshly lifted and on the ground for the first time.

Nice!!

How did the alignment go with the OME setup? Any problems?

What are you impressions of the ride so far? I'm thinking about the OME setup myself.

thanks.

Some additional news...

All,

Just got off the phone with ARBusa regarding the suspension kit for the Tundra (OMETUN57HK) which includes the following:

1) OME2613 FRONT COIL SET
2) OMEN192S FRONT STRUTS
2) CS055R REAR LEAF SPRINGS
2) OMEN193 REAR SHOCKS
1) FK32 BRAKE LINE BRACKET RELOCATER
4) OMEU53B U-BOLTS

A) The OME kit will raise the Tundra about 2.5" from stock in both the front and the rear. It will maintain the original factory rake (I have read some issues with the VSC following the lift requiring additional calibration at the dealership).

B) No need for a diff drop or brake lines needing to be extended. It maintains the factory angles.

C) This shock was designed specifically for the Tundra, not a heavier Australian relative :clapsmile

D) Engineers at ARB set out to make this kit more specifically for ExPo travel, instead of crawling at the mall...May do this lift instead of the Toytec Ultimate...

Hope this helps.

Regards,

BWJ

Observer
I have had the kit on my 2010, since 5k. Slee put it on. I now have 40k on it with no regrets. I am going to add airlift kit for camper towing, under a heavy hitch weight it will still sag a little.

Minor Update on OME

The ride of the OME suspension has been great, better than stock. I was concerned about it being too firm, particularly in the rear, but this has not been the case. The long rear Dakar springs seem to ride very well in this application, as do the front coils. Ride is better than stock because the stock springs were too soft and mushy for my use.

The front aligned well because I added SPC/Light Racing upper A-arms at the same time as the suspension. Past lift experience has shown that there would not be enough caster, and I like a vehicle with high/proper caster and excellent highway stability, poor manners are not acceptable.

So far this is all I have towed but the Dakars seemed to hand the hitch weight well.
Only thing that might need attention is the rear driveshaft, I'm feeling some unpleasant vibrations.

If you are going to add 200-lb.+ to the front, then those 613 coils are probably the ones to get. I was convinced I was going the 613 route but I backed away from wanting a heavy front bumper/winch on the Tundra. I'd still like front armor, but not as much weight, so I'm going to think more about my options.

Based on my experience with my 614 coils, I think if you don't add weight to the front you will have very little, if any factory rake left.

My Initial post lift measurements are with Dakars & 614 coils:

Rear:
About 2" both sides...

Front:
Left +3 7/16"
Right + 3 12/16"

There is a little rear-high rake remaining, but not much, I wouldn't mind more. I would say since the 613 is 10mm taller, if you don't add lots of front weight immediately, or you have anything dragging the rear lower, you will have lots of front lift and very little factory rake.

Seems with all that lift you will also need/want upper A-arms like I added. I can see the stock set-up working with 3.5-4" of lift in front.

I didn't do a diff-drop, don't plan or want one either.

Did do the rear brake lines and ABS wire extensions that are included in the ARB kit. I think you may like them, I did.

FYI :)

Can I get a little clarification? Are you saying that driving without a load on the Dakars is not "firm"?

thanks!

That is exactly what I said.

The Dakar springs on my 2011 Tundra (no experience with a Tacoma) ride very nice/soft/smooth, I like them very much.

thanks, Redline. Sorry to be so dense :eek: - wanted to be sure.

Oh yeah, any drivetrain issues (shudder) with the lift?

gracias.
