I bought it used, saved some money. Finally doing something with it.

The Truck
2012 F150 XLT Supercrew, 6.5ft bed, Max Tow, 4x4.
It has a rear locker and rear air bags with onboard compressor. Originally had a 2” level kit spacer up front.

Yes, it’s pulling our current “base camp”. More on that later.

Here’s how it looked most recently.
Ditched the stock running boards, need to fab or find some rock rails.
Put on the wider fender flares
Ditched the awful LT275/65/18 Grabber AT2
Added LT275/70/18 Nokian Hakkapalittas. I love these tires!
Has a 5Star tune.
Added a roll up gator tonneau

Put in F150LEDs headlight bulbs so I can actually see on the trail at night.

I do need to add my Bora 2” wheel spacers, I’ll get around to that eventually.

Right now things come in bins and we go from there. We sleep in the camper and don’t take that far off road.
It’s a 1972 Airstream, 25ft TradeWind.

For now we will just use the truck as is and see what we want to add as we go depending on how long we stay away from the camper.

Wish they made the 6xxx series for the bastard 2014 model year!
Uncommon color, looks good.
Those tires are a touch small for that wheelbase, but keep it practical for towing.
Where are you from that you need real quality winter tires but the truck isn't super rusty?
136 liter tank? I can't remember if max tow also gave that. I hope so. You get nice range with it.

Look forward to the look with wheel.spacers

Thanks. I’m in Michigan, but live out in the country with no plows. Also travel in Northern MI and UP for work. Truck has some rust, the rockers have been repaired and covered now.
And yes, 36gal fuel tank! Won’t every buy a truck without that. Tires are a bit smaller but still taller than stock. I wish they made a decent 275/80/18. I don’t really want to go much wider.

Nice and simple. I like it.

what’s the info on the LED headlights?

These are a plug and play product. It’s from F150LEDs. The thing I like it that come with a ballast and cooling fan on the back and keep the stock beam pattern, but much brighter. They each 8k lumens and 6000k in color. The difference is unreal going down the road or trail and I don’t need a new housing for them.

Thanks! The way you said it in the first post, I thought they were LEDs taken from an F150. Thanks for pointing out that it’s a website named that.

I’ve got a 2014 Expedition that I’m sure there is plenty of cross compatibility.

Just ordered some ditch lights.

Got the Baja Designs Squadron Sport, Yellow combo light. The lens can be swapped for clear and/or any of the available patters. Quite excited to try it out. And some SDHQ mounting brackets.

SDHQ makes some great stuff, you'll really like it! When adding those in it helps to have a buddy because if the hood latches get out of wack its gonna be a long day!
