Wow, that's expensive.
If you spend some time on the Whitehorse Facebook buy/sell site and/or kijiji you'll find someone driving up to Whitehorse that can bring it up for you in a pickup or on a trailer.
My buddy gets 3-4 canoes brought up every year, he never pays more than about $150.

The shipping is ~1k... however half of that is to get it from NJ to the west coast. When I was talking to CVT, they quoted me $450 to ship one from OR to here. The big one is actually the 18% duty+5% GST as it's not made in the US. That alone is another 750. So yeah I could have saved a bit on the shipping... but not a ton. It's roughly 7.5 x 5.5 x 3' and weighs ~300 lbs.

Almost 1 yr later they think they finally found the issue (my quick test showed positive results). Also apparently between the rad and the AC condenser was also packed. I've always been pretty good about hosing it off to the point where the water flows clean... however I've always been washing it from the front. It looks like I need to re-adjust how I'm cleaning it after playing in the mud (which while I do, if the trail I'm on has it, I'm not a big fan of).

This is the backside of my rad, and they could only tell when I went in complaining that my whole jeep vibrates when the fan is on high. They replaced a module under warranty and washed it all out while it was apart. My initial test up 2mile hill in town here were good... but need to do one where I can actually test it under normal load, and not when I'm just pushing the engine.

Had some fun lastnight (well not really - wiring is a pain in the ***). But wired up my new lights. Wasn't happy with my old ones (POS cheapies), so found some used on the forums a while back. Figured before I head to Alaska on Friday that I should get her done.

50w LF HIDs. I love the look compared to the smaller lights I had before. I think they just fill things out so much better.

When I attempted to install my grab handle the first time around, it got hungup on my sPOD wiring and I snapped the bolt. Had that drilled out a few weeks ago, so installed that as well. Has a RAM ball mount on the inside. Is very solid.

Well my Rancho Dif skid is installed, and my ARB compressor and LF lights are all wired up. Thank goodness for my sPOD. Compressor took 10 minutes to wire in (easy when it's right beside the spod and all in the engine bay). Unfortunately for the LF lights, because they're HIDs and I wanted the ballasts inside the engine bay (safer, cleaner install) I used some Chinese HID extension cables... I'm pretty certain they're why the lights only intermittently both come on when I flick the switch. First 7/8 times, 1 or the other would come on. Occasionally both. The last 7/8 times both came on. So as I'm leaving on Friday, and I'm staying up north and don't really expect it to be that dark, I'll suck it up. But it is annoying. I'll see about sourcing some north American cables before I leave to re-wire them... otherwise I'll have to completely re-wire the lights with the ballasts in the bumper. Which will be a pain in the *** to deal with.

But I'm glad it's all done. Now just need to wire in the 10" Rigid LED bar I bought used (wiring is all in place), and I'm good to go for my trip. Will deal with my reverse LEDs when I come home (and before I do my wheeling trip in BC in August).

Lights like that sit right infront of your radiator. Do you think there's any chance they're contributing to your overheating issues?

I don't know about the 3.6 JK, but I know big lights in that position on a 1-HDT powered Toyota is a recipe for overheating issues.

They weren't on when we went wheeling the other week. Will see how it goes... but they're easy to remove if they are causing an issue. But I think part of it (now that they've made some repairs and cleaned it all up) is adjusting my expectations on what's too hot. As we saw that Sunday is that it'll go up to 231/233, then the fan will kick in faster and cool it right down. Won't be positive until I can do a mountain pass somewhere, but I think I'll be fine.

Worse case it is an issue and I pull them. Then when I get home, I put the smaller LF lights/reflectors on.

Had a small box made to attach my trailer wiring - thing is damn stout... could likely bash the crap out of it, and it'll still be there. Didn't dare use the weak pos that it came with (that cost me a wiring plug end after wheeling in the mud - pre lift).

Then decided that I needed to paint the rear bumper (and my rock rails) before leaving tomorrow on my road trip to Alaska. Decided that since I finally painted the bumper (have had it a year) that I could put on a pair of decals. My friends business that sells some neat jeep and lighting products (yes I'm pimping it), and Expo! The only two sites/places I would advertise.

Also finished up all the wiring (mainly just the Rigid SR LED bar).

I have two now. I have an m101 that I've made some mods too.

And then I just bought a Little Guy Rough Rider teardrop that I pick up tomorrow in Alaska.

Here's a couple pictures the PO had in his ad. I know one of my first mods will be a roof rack so that I can mount an awning (likely have to buy a couple more), and likely a small basket (hold firewood and whatnot). But that'll have to wait until I get home. Will spend 2 weeks touring Alaska using this.
