congrats to those chosen, some very nice pics.
Great job to everyone, nice to see folks away from the light of the Cities. Got a few words about a few that were not, some of these in my eyes grabbed the real flavor of travel and exploration; and were my personal favs.
Pic 1, on a bike the dirt of the day is on you and your clothes, not on the outside of the rig. You feel every puff of wind, every temperature drop, every drop of rain and degree of heat. One really feels the travel. No glamping allowed or possible. You taste and feel the country and live out of a side case. I thought this pic really captured that. Thanks and nice pic.
PIc 29. I was captured by the community of travel here. Clearly not a weekend warrior trip. Not sure if they were together or not, but my experience in travel is greatly enhanced by those I meet along the way. Excellent pic, thanks.
Pic 42. haha, this is the best shot of the bunch. Got flash backs to traveling for most of the day, and then coming up against something like this. The decision to go back is usually quite large given the direction, destination and what it took to get there. Not usually as simple as 'oh well john, guess we can't go this way'. Rigged a crossing I should not have once. Scared the crap out of me every inch. Tough call at the time, young and foolish, but here now to laugh about it. I can feel this pic, thanks.
Pic 47. It is just awesome. thank you.
Here is to hoping that 2013 allows us all to do more of the same. Also thank you for taking the time and effort to put this together.
