If you’re thinking about making the jump to van life, then this is the van for you! Meet Baymax, our beloved self-converted 2013 MB Sprinter 170. We purchased this van in September of 2019 and have lived in it part time for about two years and now full time for 14 months. It has been meticulously maintained with many upgrades and scheduled maintenance. We just had it in to MB of Gilbert Arizona for an oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. We built this van for boondocking as we are avid anglers and National Park explorers. There is ample storage for all your gear and toys!

There is no permanent shower or toiled installed in this van! We used a portable PETT composting toilet and a Big Kahuna outdoor shower with pop tent (not included). We wanted the flexibility of having these systems be small and storable rather than having a huge shower taking up permanent space in the van. We also did not want to carry additional water or have a larger grey tank just to shower.

We have been very strict with maintenance on this van since purchase. Oil changes every 5,000 miles with MB Mobile 1 oil and parts. Tire rotations with every oil change. Other maintenance includes:

Fuel filter replaced at 182781 miles

Air Filter replaced at 182781 Miles

New tie rods 4/2021

New brake rotors, pads and sensors 8/2021

New battery 1/2022

Transmission service (MB oil) at 187424 miles.

Turbo Resonator adjusted at 187424 miles.

New rear passenger side wheel hub replaced 5/2022.

New passenger mirror motor installed at 10/2022.

EGR Valve cleaned and inspected at 10/2022.

The van TPMS system currently is inoperable, and the light is on dash. We have had new TPMS sensors installed at Discount Tire and have had it inspected at MB Chandler (no answers), an independent mechanic in Show Low (radio replacement has caused the issue) and MB of Gilbert (TPMS computer module). The light has been on the dash since we purchased the van and we have just learned to live with it as we carry an air compressor with us.

Brake flush will be due at next maintenance interval.

EXTENDED WARRANTY:

This van had an emission modification performed at Mercedes Benz of Gilbert, Az in October 2021/mileage 185837. This vehicle now has an extended warranty of 4 years/48,000 miles from the date of installation of the emission modification. Many individual parts that relate to the emissions system on this van also have additional time/mileage on top of the extended warranty. You can find additional information on the terms and covered components by going to: https://bluetecupdate.mbvans.com/co...nty/warranty-extension-covered-components.pdf We will also include the more specific and detailed paperwork sent to us by MB USA.

This is very bittersweet for us as we built this van to last and thought we would be traveling in it forever. However, while we will remain full time nomads, our goals have changed, and we have now set our sights on Central/South America. We would need to do heavy modification to the emissions/fuel system of this van in order to continue our journey south and that is just not something we are willing to do as the van is titled in Maricopa Country which requires emissions. This van will do great for someone who wants to explore North America and even into Mexico due to the low sulfur diesel fuel requirements.

Price is OBO! We are open to REASONABLE offers, as the sale of this van will fund our next build. We are currently staying with family and the van is in storage.

Bump! Still available, lots of flakey people out there and we need this van gone!

We're throwing in the big kahuna shower and interior "shower pan" as it will not work in our next rig.
