2014 Evoque pricing revealed

The Evoque is a blast to drive, plain and simple. Not a true Land Rover, but drive 75mph during a blizzard at 9pm and you'll understand why we have one. I don't think there's another vehicle that's better in adverse conditions on the road.

It is a shame that technology has offset Darwin so much.

I would love to see any of those vehicles in over 12" of snow on the road(you're not in Vermont enough)

Well I apologize And bow to your superior knowledge and experience because Buffalo doesn't get any snow....

And for the record the C4 with snow tires is fantastic.

I don't doubt they're alright when you replace the wheels with much narrower ones, for narrow-er tires.

I'm sure they're fine in snow, but having driven 2 of the 3 vehicles on that list I still feel confident the Evoque is a better vehicle in the snow.

I did not see any STis or S4s on the trails at Winter Romp.

Okay you're getting dangerously close to Steve Young territory here. I did not see the Evoque on the trails either I did see it stuck in the open field though.

Just for the record I do like the Evoque. I think it is fantastic for what they designed it for and I hope to have one in my driveway soon.

Woah there, do not compare I to him. I am not lying about anything, nor am I giving technical facts, only personal opinion.

We drove the Evoque on a few trails, and it was never stuck. Though I do recall it may have been high-centered for a bit...

I knew the SY comment would get you to pump the brakes a little bit.

Just remember this whole thing started off with you saying the Evoque was the be-all end-all of hi speed snow going vehicles.

I think you're reading into it a bit, I said, "I don't think there's another vehicle that's better in adverse conditions on the road". I did not state that there isn't, but that in my opinion there isn't.

My head hurts. Are you running for office?

I'll see you in a few days my friend.

If only THIS was a production model maybe my heart would go up a half beat at the mere mention of the Evoque.

That may not be a production model, but this one (sort of) is:

The Evoque will do well in it's target market. The largest volume Subaru dealer in the world is Colorado Springs, Colorado. Snow country is a great fit for the Evoque. Even the LR4 will have a single speed transfer case as a snow country family transport. Neither are targeted at the off-road market.

Land Rover's biggest issue? Manufacturing capacity to support expansion into new market segments.
