Hope they keep sending you update pictures. Would be cool to follow along with the swap.
I was thinking about this last night, and more this morning. Given the same circumstances, I'd have done the same thing.
Get's back to that whole compromise thing. My grandpa always said, only the rich can afford to buy cheap. The rest of us should always buy the best we can afford, and take good care of it.
A piece of advice that has served me well when followed, and smacked me upside the head when ignored.

I will definitely remember that quote that's a good one, your Grandpa sounds like a smart man! I'm not gonna lie I lost some sleep over the deal but I feel better now that the decision is behind me and I have something to look forward to. Not to say I wasn't looking forward to the JK350 anyway. I'm sure he will continue with the updates he has been great so far.

Highly Jealous! I have a 10A that is needing the hemi swap something fierce... I just can't get my finger on the trigger though, you'll love it! Especially towing.. I pull an RPOD when I have the girlfriend and dogs along (and not planning anything tooooo remote) and it could use the extra torque on the hills. The motor is a screamer if you leave it set on cruise control it tries to be exactly accurate. I just kick it off and let it slow down a little so I'm not running redline trying to maintain speed..

I too have the 3.6 with 4.10s. It's obviously no race car, but I think it has plenty of power. Cruises very comfortably at 80 plus and with the lower gears, it has some giddy up. Although if a Hemi is your measuring stick, you might have a very different opinion. Good luck, I'm looking forward to seeing your rig.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of when pulling my trailer. Being in Oklahoma it might not be much of an issue but we usually go to NM or CO when we pull the trailer, I hated the constant shifting when we pulled it with my nephews Jeep I attributed some of that to his 35"s and 3.73

hey BJ, We decided we are going ahead with our JK250 package on my 2011 unlimited. I can't wait. Gonna be an awesome overlander when she's finished! The granite looks awesome too btw!

Awesome, you'll be glad you did. Thanks I've always been a sucker for dark grey vehicles. 4 of my last five have been the exception was my last PU that was black looked good clean but hard to keep that way driving the dirt roads of central Oklahoma.

Forgot to mention I also got my drawer and fridge slide in from SoCal.

Should finish with the install this week. After that they put it through a minimum of 4 heat cycles I believe it is. So should hopefully be coming back sometime next week.

Yeah, he warned me about the body off pics. I'm sure some of his customers had freaked out after seeing them.

I sure hope it does that has been about the only problem I've ever had with my other Jeep.

Hopefully I won't get a chance to get antsy for an update. If so I will definitely use that.
