yeah, will keep my fingers crossed as well.
For me, a lot of the excitement is that you already have experience with a V8 conversion on a JK, and your use is similar to what mine will be (if I ever get time to go further than the driveway...). That, along with you calling things the way you see it in an unbiased manner, makes your evaluation and experiences worth paying close attention to.
And really, a full on AEV JK with a Hemi... THAT is pretty awesome, to any gear head off road enthusiast.

Three days and a wake up... That's not too bad.

Yeah I'm really anxious to see the difference in the VVT and non VVT I hear that it is better I guess I'll find out soon enough :wings:, although I'm a little worried that I didn't get a shipping confirmation from AEV today!! :Wow1:

I'll help you with a video ;)

There's an idea James you can do the video and Mark can do the voice over! :iagree:

It's home! The roads a icy so haven't had a chance to give it much of a test. Can't tell much difference between this and the non VVT but it has 4.88's so it's not really apples to apples. So far so good though.

Man they couldn't have put your Jeep with a more motley group of vehicles on that trailer. Sticks out like a sore thumb for sure. I have to say I am jealous. One day one day!

AWESOME!
A day early, even.

Yeah might be a bit tough with the cold weather to figure out fuel mileage and power differences, along with heating, etc.
But... It's never too cold for some underhood pictures (says the guy sitting in a heated office... ;)).

So now that it's home, what are your plans to get all the accessory stuff loaded up to hit the trails?

Yeah I messed with the MPG computer a little bit around town and no doubt it's doing better than the non-VVT, the jury is out on how much better.
Ask and you shall receive!

Looks like I just installed a after market air filter and box other than that it looks factory. If I had to do over I would have had them go ahead and install the snorkel. As now I'll have to source a factory air box.

I put together my drawer from So-Cal, I just need to get with James to get my tray and order all the other stuff.

Man B.J. that is amazing.

Just comparing it to the stock V6, and am amazed at how well it fits.
Looks like they changed the battery orientation to fit the larger air box. So if you went to a snorkel, you may already be half way there to a dual battery setup.
Since the snorkel won't change fuel mileage, and that Hemi has power to spare, it could be a real advantage.

I like the new factory high pressure line for the A/C. Looks like an sPod could sit right over it, instead of being in the way by trying to follow the stock routing (only further over due to the width).
The fit and finish is beautiful. They sure put a lot of engineering into this.
Thanks for putting up the pictures
BTW: The stance with the lift and wheel/tire combo is sweet! Wonder if they uprate the springs for the V8?

No, really my 3.6 Pentastar has plenty of power. No need, whatsoever, to turn my Jeep over to AEV for a Hemi. Nope, none at all.

Where's the taking a cold shower smilie when you need it?:)

Looks great. I hope you have a blast with it.

Exactly how I feel...except that I hope he hates it and puts it up for sale for dirt cheap so I can buy it. ;)

Thanks Scott, I agree it seems like they put a lot of thought into it. Their attention to detail on everything is pretty awesome took the wife and kid on their first ride this evening, even the dash is sweet. (I can't get the pic to post, I'll try later.)

Just from first impressions I doubt I'll be jerking it out of there anytime soon.

Details, details, details

Sa-weet!

All the little details that make something "not factory", look factory is really impressive.
