Front Runner makes a nice slider that allows you to still access that space as well as provide tie down spots for securing gear. Retails at $399 I think, simple install and clean look.

I didn't know that was on the market, it actually looks like a great option.

And Frontrunner is in Burbank which is only 3 hours from Shell Beach. They're a really friendly bunch there and have some pretty cool/creative products, I've got their roof load bars on my 2-door JK.

Ha! This was my first post after 2 years of lurking. Anxious to see how this build turns out.

Kinda like the Front Runner slide-out and over-shelf thingie too... ...but I don't think I can slide the expense past the house ways and means committee....

We'll see, I need to figure out how that'll work with my Pronghorn MFES and Top Mount Winch Case.

There are lots of holes in the MFES for mounting single lights.

Great choice on the bumpers. They've got a really great design going. Can't wait for the rear.

When Craig from Pronghorn mentioned you were using Pinterest I laughed at first. Then when I got back to Atlanta, I may have setup my own build page. ;)

Congrats on your JK!

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to the launch of the Pronghorn MRES.

Pinterest is the bomb.

I really, really, really hate the Jeep Dragon edition (you can read about that here in my op-ed The Jeep with the Dragon Tattoo) the grill may prove to be a good option for those looking to get that blacked-out look with OEM fitment and paint.

Also, I'll confirm the JWSpeaker upgrade. The pattern is smooth with no hot spots and a crisp cutoff. Their 6045 fog lights fill in perfectly (definitely advise getting both the headlights and fogs together). The only thing lacking is the high beams. They're really good at distance but not very useable up close as their spread is a very acute angle. For distance throw, I use rigid d2's mounted on the a-pillar instead of the high beams.

That's good to know.

Yeah, I could see D2s on the A-pillar. I'd angle them down and away though and get the flood pattern. See what's lurking off to the sides of the trail.
Not for road use at all....

I have the Rigid D2's on my a-pillars, they work great and I get a little glare off the hood. But as with any light on the A-pillars or roof they are useless in the Rain, Mist, fog, dust, snow. The Rigid A-pillar mounts I bought don't allow for any sideways adjustment but the lights do a good job lighting up the area around the front of the jeep.A1.jpgA2.jpg

What pattern are these in?

Yeah I have the driving pattern and aimed slightly outboard. The mounts I have sit the lights a little further outboard than most of the mounts out there, so aiming them down did help a little as rock lights.

Once you start installing drawers and a fridge, this awesome space underneath the rear cargo floor is rendered essentially useless. It's begging for some kind of water storage. I bet you could get a few gallons in there easy.

I am running 3 28ah batteries in the trunk with a custom draw system on top

I installed the MORE dual battery plate, with two group 34 Optima Yellowtop batteries and the Eezi-Awn Dual battery monitor today.

Really impressed with the entire setup.
