Just picked up the camper and really amazed at the build quality. Jay and the rest of the folks there really take pride in their product. Future plans are a basic 12V system and insulation.

The truck was leveled with a RTT and decked storage up until the last year. RTT was nice, but hated it in inclement weather, and the dog having to sleep in the backseat of the truck. He’s getting older and we want to keep him closer to us when sleeping. Hence the search for a camper with room for the whole family, as well as being better in inclement weather.

I got it through SCA (Southern comfort automotive). It’s the lowest profile one I could find with secure behind the bumper light mounting as well as being winch capable.

Got my mattress in the other day. Went with a firm foam and marine vinyl. Vinyl is similar in color to my interior. Total bed size is 65x80 3” thick mattress. I do have extra bedding height built into the cab over and highly recommend the extra room. I should be able to leave sleeping bags up there when traveling.
Could have gone to 69” wide on the mattress but wanted a couple inches on each side wiggle room. Last pic shows the amount of room with the bed extended in a 5.5 foot bed. About 29” or so.

Next phase is building out a bench/storage in this area to house electrical/battery. Then once electrical is complete on to insulation which still don’t know what direction to go...

One of the best parts of these lightweight pop-ups. It’s still a truck and can haul full size sheet goods!
Got the insulation started today. Went with 1” poly-iso board. Gonna knock out the top tomorrow.Probably gonna end up covering the insulation with thin luan plywood. Unless some else has another idea?

Got my extrusions in today. Top will be a hinged sheet of birch. 1/4” ply will close off the batt compartment.

Digging into old wood shop skills. Could only source 3/4” ply. Need 1” to get flush with the hinges I chose. So laminating 1/4” strips around edges.
