Government thinking: Cars run on a less efficient fuel currently, E-10, and get worse fuel mileage then non-ethanol fuel, so lets go to E-15 and require that all vehicles made 12 years from now need to get 55mpg.

Sounds about right! If politics would stop screwing everything up we'd already be driving cars with much better mileage. I have an 1989 Mercedes 190D (2.5l diesel). Which gets 40-45mpg on the hwy. It's fun to see peoples faces when I tell them my 23 yr old car gets better mpg's than their brand new plastic POS.
