2015 Renegade Trailhawk

Anyone have one of these yet? I ordered one, but won't have it for about 3-4 months. I loved driving the Limited, but preferred the styles and option of the Trailhawk.

If you have one, have you done any mods to it?

Be sure to post some pics when you get yours! A lot of die hard jeepers don't appreciate the renegade, but I am pretty excited about it. It gets jeep into a great market segment, and the trailhawk is pretty B.A.! I've been wanting to test drive one for awhile now.

Yes we run one since 5 months , but sorry guys its a 2.0 multi jet diesel with 9 speed Atx, and it's a cute little Jeep

I am a full Jeep brand fan. Before my JKU I owned a patriot. I kick myself in the *** because I should have traded my mazda 5 on my JK and kept that pat for my wife. IT went Place you would not think it could go, and it was amazing in deep snow as it is flat on the undercarriage. I love the liberty, GC, Commander, and the small Jeeps. The Renegade in trailhawk guise is awesome and will rock for a small overlanding/adventure rig.

Can't wait to see these start popping up on Expo. I'm excited to see where they will go, how people enjoy them, and what people do to them.

I think it's a neat little car, and I love seeing some of the less mainstream overland vehicles get love. The Suzuki SX4 thread is a guilty pleasure of mine, for example... heh.

I'm interested to see how they hold their value. Might be a nice little rig to pick up on the used market in a couple of years if it doesn't hold it's value like a wrangler. The compass for example could be an amazing little budget soft roader for how cheap they are on the used market.

I'm keeping my SX4 until the wheels fall off, it's just nice to have other options. I wish the diesel was available in NA :(

I can grab pats and compass'ssssssss, for less than 5 grand here now, but that's the older models. The 2010 up is the one to shoot for because of the upgraded interior.

Let me preface this by saying I like the Renegade Trailhawk but I think this puts some perspective on it. I was driving in my Liberty with my 4 year old son, who loves Jeeps. I saw a nice new white Renegade Trailhawk and pointed it out to him, saying "Look at that cool Jeep!" He replied "Where?" I said "Right there!" and he gave me a funny look and said "Dad, that's not a Jeep, its a car."

Ha ha. for sure Scott, my Pat did the same thing, but it never stopped moving forward. The little jeeps are surprisingly capable rigs. They have to be. they bare the JEEP on them.

My buddy took his stock Patriot up the first part of the Rubicon Trail. Guys in serious 4wds were in awe of how far he got with no damage, having never been on the Rubicon before.
Granted he is a very talented driver, but still it takes a good 4wd system.

I think with the new electronic control systems, which can't be turned off, tire selection is going to be critical to get good performance. I would probably look to keep a couple of different sets. One for snow and ice on the road, and one with a softer sticky aggressive tread for off road.
Still think that Trail Hawk would be an awesome Daughter-goes-to-college vehicle.

"Still think that Trail Hawk would be an awesome Daughter-goes-to-college vehicle"

Do you mean for the Dad who is now free of shuttling kids around or for the daughter (what a waste...)???

I think the hawk is an awesome rig period. For a couple. Family would find it tight for gear. When we went to florida 2 wks ago, I was going to take the patriot for our rig for the 2 wks. We put one suitcase in back and the door would not close with it the way we needed to put it. The only drawback of it. Had to move to the Hyundai santa Fe. DOH>

Thanks for this morning's good laugh! One day, sitting on the porch looking at my LJ on 31's, I said to my then 4 year old, "Dang that is a nice jeep, isn't it?" His response? "Yeah, but it is supposed to be BIGGER" than that." Gotta love 'em... out of the mouths of babes.:coffeedrink:
