I always try to just pass by these for sale adds and To each of their own and everybody can ask what they want for their vehicle but… 50 K for a rig with 160K on the odometer? And just some bolt ons ?? I mean you might find a buyer, but something tells me you’re gonna be hanging on that thing for a while
I have no problem with holding onto this vehicle forever. Yes I agree with you when you see 160K but blue book value of my truck bone stock is 38k. Something tells me everyone replying to my “AD” including you doesn’t really understand what “bolt on” means. The frame of my truck is not factory or bolt on. Why do you think we see so many post 2015 tacomas fro sale fully equip “overland” ready? Because they are really bolt on. And the engine is not a 4.0 and or supercharged. People build new Tacoma’s out that can’t handle the load. Frame, engine and transmission.

I had a supercharger put on my 2008 FJ before I drove it off the lot and get about 15mpg whether city or hwy but I am very heavy on the foot.
If I’m heavy on foot it’s terrible. The FJ I drove for a bit got a bit worse gas mileage then this Tacoma but I like the room in the FJ!

38k is likely what it's worth now if you are VERY lucky.

Yeah it looks like a pickup truck with some stuff in the back to me.
Would you like to go for a ride? Apparently no ones eye balls work. That or my photos are ********. But you are right. There is a bunch of stuff in the back. Including the shock towers and cross member for the suspension that a stock Toyota frame could not withstand…unless one was in fact going to “bolt on” some kind mid travels and toss a bunch of goose gear in the back and a GFC to go overland the mall parking lot.

If it was bone stroke yes id be very very lucky indeed. Giving the supply chain issue with lead times and inflation the suspension on the truck will not only be double the price I paid for now but wont be available for quite some time. No one seems to talk about the custom sway bars… Whyw don’t we see any of these super cool 2018+ with sway bars to support the absurd weight on their vehicle?

Now you got me curious.....there wasn't sway bars mentioned on your build sheet, nor did I see one in the undercarriage photo (might be hiding in front of the reat axle?)
But, you got sway-bar disconnects or something, so that your sway bar is working against your long travel suspension?

No, no need for disconnects. These sway bars were designed and built for long travel race trucks. Our original intention was to 4 link the truck but time was of the essence and we settled for the current design. The rears also has king bumps stops. Front has King coil overs with built right upper and lower arms. No need for bump stops nor the additional king struts because the current set up with the vehicle fully loaded IE: spare gas, full waster tank (10g) All my spare fluids with recovery gear and tools, Two stocked ARB fridges (one is set as a freezer for long term trips). We at times have spent three weeks in the middle of nowhere on surf trips and or scouting/pre running. As long as I have a water source. I should also mention this set up is for my GF and I and our three dogs.

The entire frame of the truck is boxed. The back half the truck has custom frame for the link. With the truck fully loaded the suspension works perfect. never bottoms out and I can travel up to 80MPH. I do not hit the whoops though. Spent too Munich money on this truck to break it like a butt hole.
