I saw another product called SumoSprings……….anyone have hands on experience with them?

Air bags are appealing but seems like the bags and lines are more prone to leaks and failing...…....and the need for an air source

I favor SumoSprings over airbags for the same reason. I've actually run them mostly in front applications for a plow truck and GM passenger vans for the fleet I manage, and will keep purchasing them. They are not harsh, even with the most heavy-duty rated option. I haven't used Timbrens so can't compare.

Edit: I ended up using long add a leaves on my Sierra, and am pretty happy so far. I don't have a topper and usually only have 100-300lbs in the bed, and the ride is not rough by any means. They don't squat too bad with my horse trailer or flatbed trailers I've pulled. I actually removed the factory blocks when I installed the add a leaves, since I didn't want much extra height. I'd say the bed is about .5" taller than stock this way.

Seems like if I do go with a 2.5" front kit and a 2"/2.5" rear kit I should be able to run the following tires:

285/65R18; 32.6" X 11.20"

My current size:
265/65R18; 31.6" x 10.40"

275/70R18 seem way too small: 33.20" x 10.80"

285/75/18 seems like a tall tire that might rub: 34.8" x 11.2"

285/70R18 seems like a nice size: 33.70" x 11.20"...…….not at tall as the 285.75 and a tad taller than that 285/65

Are you keeping the stock wheels? Backspacing and width of aftermarket wheels will really affect whether or not a particular tire rubs on this generation of Silverado and Sierra, stock wheels usually do very well not rubbing

Yes, the goal is to use the stock 18" (8.5" wide?) black Midnight Edition wheels

+24 mm - Back Space = 5.70" Inches

So I think I have three tire size choices to consider:

285/65R18 : 32.60" x 11.20" (1" taller and 0.8" wider than stock)
285/70R18 : 33.70" x 11.20" (2.1" taller and 0.8" wider than stock)
285/75R18 : 34.80" x 11.20" (3.2" taller and 0.8" wider than stock)

Width is all the same........just will boil down to the tire height

Not much of a increase over stock......I know I could fit a 275 series easy, but also like the wider tread

If 275/70 doesn't float your boat I don't know why you are even considering 285/65.
Now 285/70 gets you wider and taller, but not crazy wide.
285/75R18 is a fantastic "narrow" 35. It would look the best on your truck, but that's going to be a hit to fuel economy and performance pretty notably. Unless your truck has 3.73, and even then. Do you have 3.42s?

Yes I have 3.42........

I think 35s..... with the amount of lift I will have, along with the 5.3 and 3.42s all not work for me

If I can find a taller and wider 33 I will choose it

I have 315/70/17 Wildpeal AT3W's with 3.42's and the pedal commander to get rid of lag and it feels fine to me, pushing 100k miles in my truck too.
