On a recent camping trip, the lower air dam trim valence was always getting caught and rubbing

Less that 5 min and removing 16 bolts later, I gained 2-3/4"

That is an insane amount of bolts for the lower valence.
Truck looks better without it. But wow, why so many

I am going to start looking into a custom tune...…….needs more power

Blackbear, Diablo Tune...……...who else is good at these 5.3Ls?

Some measurements to see how the list actually turned out:

Stock with Cap:
Driver Front: 36.250”
Passenger Front: 35.875”
Driver Rear: 37.875”
Passenger Rear: 38.125”


With 3.5" Superlift kit:
Driver Front: 39.750" (+ 3.50")
Passenger Front: 39.875" (+ 4.00")
Driver Rear: 40.250" (+ 2.375")
Passenger Rear: 41.375" (+ 3.25")

The passenger side of the truck really sits alot taller................gas tank cannot be the sole reason

Rake (front to back measurement)
Driver Side: 0.50" (rear taller than front)
Passenger Side: 1.50" (rear taller than front)

The new Ford's air dams are ridiculous. Not only do they hang way down but the square corners are begging to hang up on something.
That's the first thing my neighbor removed on his 2018 6.7.

My 04 z71 was the same way, driver side say .75-1 inch lower. You could really tell when measuring the distance between the springs and the overloads that they were weak on the drivers side, guess from me being in it all the time, at the time I was only about 185lbs though.

Yup, 8 qts. Not sure if that has anything to do with keeping AFM happy or not.

Even though this motor takes 8 quarts of oil......I will never complain

The oil change was so easy and clean!!!

Kudos to GM for making the oil filter and Oil drain plug easily accessible!!!

100 times better than the PITA oil change in my old Eco F150!!!

No doubt. I can do it in 10 mins or so. It takes 30-45 to do my wife’s 4 Runner.

Trying to decide what exhaust system I want to get...……...I want a single rear pipe (rear tire, pass side exit), not a fan of the dual split pipe look

Gibson #5656 (Dual sport).....aluminized (3" pipe / 2.25" pipe)
Gibson #65663 (Dual sport)…...stainless (3" pipe / 2.25" pipe)
Gibson #315629......aluminized (3.50" pipe)
Gibson# 615629....stainless (3.50" pipe)
Flowmaster #717857 FX Series...…….stainless (3" pipe)

I am concerned about going with something such as large as a 3.50" piped system, with backpressure

I DO NOT want to spend $1k on an exhaust...……...more near $500

I am still wondering about stainless vs aluminized...….....costs and durability

Aluminized is just basically a coating used for rust prevention and will scrap off if damaged and it will rust there as well as at the welded areas, so if you're in an area that sees a lot of road salt, it will eventually begin to rust, but that's going to still take years. Stainless definitely looks better and won't rust, but you're paying for that over aluminized. With the quality of Gibson exhaust, I don't think you'd go won't either way.

Stainless is roughly a $100 option / upgrade

For that price difference I'd definitely swing the extra C-note for the added looks and longevity of stainless
