2016 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71

Another oil change

New front and rear rotors and pads

Just had the transmission pan dropped for a new filter and fresh fluid

The service brake assist (or something) light at low speed or low idle is very annoying .....Zero brake pressure and have to throw the trans in neutral

I heard it's a recall need to look into that

100,000 miles on the truck

I test drove a 2021 nicely equipped Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss tonight

38,000 miles for 42k

In park and idling, I crawled under the truck there was a consecutive double tick coming from the bottom end of the 5.3L motor

The $975 factory option side steps were missing

They offered me 20k trade in for my 2016

I laughed and walked away

Damn!!! I would have too!

Had to order a front wheel stud......$3 for a Dorman brand

One stud broke in half rotating the tires, never seen this before

Hopefully it'd not a PITA to replace it, but I'm not paying a shop $150 to replace a $3 part

295/65R18 : 33.10 x 11.80

275/70R18 : 33.10 - 33.20 x 10.80 - 11.00

Hankook Dynpro is 33.10 x 10.80 in the 275/70

I would most likely find a good used 275/70 tire also so it should be spot on with the diameter of the 295/65

I've been pushing my luck and and going on a 500 miles trip next month

I need to get a spare for peace of mind, to match the height of the tires I'm running:

295/65R18 Duratrac that is:
33.10 x 11.80

The spare tire can be more narrow as long as it fits the factory spare wheel

Spare is a 17" ; P265/70R17 .....so I need to find a 17" tire to most closely match the 295/65R18

February 2021 the Duratracs were installed

I'll probably get new tires this fall, before winter hits.....tread is still good, just starting to wear fast and get loud

Tires are getting rotated and balanced Friday.......have 106,000 miles on the truck currently

I also learned that Goodyear discontinued the Duratrac in the current tire size I'm using:

295/65R18

I could find other manufacturers in this size or explore the other size I was also initially considering: 285/70R18

295/65R18 : 33.10 x 11.80

275/70R18 : 33.60 x 11.10

These current Duratracs have 40,000 miles on them

It looks like another 5,000 miles and I'll get new tires, this fall

The Duratracs (20") on my old F150 lasted alot longer

I wouldn't be opposed to changing the tire size either

Truck has like 106,000 miles on it, just did another oil change. Amazon deal days had full synthetic oil cheap

Had to also buy a new antenna, lost it in a car wash . Haha

Stock size : 265/65R18; 31.6" x 10.40"

Currently running 295/65R18 with ZERO rubbing

285/65R18; 32.60" X 11.20"
305/65R18; 33.60" X 12.00"
295/65R18; 33.10" X 11.60"
295/70R18; 34.3 " x 11.60"
285/65R18; 32.6" X 11.20"
285/70R18; 33.70" x 11.20"

I really do not want anything over 34" tall

Will a 12" wide tire clear?
