For Sale: 2016 Earthcruiser FX - unit #22, built on a 2012 Fuso FG chassis (still under warranty!)

Price: $240,000
Reduced Price: $225,000

At the time of this posting the truck has 29,xxx miles on it. This will likely increase somewhat as I plan to still use it locally. We just completed a 10,000 mile trip to Quebec, Labrador, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. Everything performed flawlessly.

Basically every available option was chosen for this Earthcruiser (except the lithium battery system). With current pricing this rig would cost just shy of $300,000 new from Earthcruiser with the lead time that goes with that.

The question everyone asks: why are you selling? Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my Earthcruiser. It has done everything I have asked it to do over the last two years and taken me places I did not think a vehicle of this size/weight could go...and did it with ease! I am simply looking to move into something smaller (possibly another Earthcruiser product) and have other travel plans in the future.

Chassis:

All services completed by authorized Fuso service centers. The model year of the chassis is 2012 but the delivery date was Nov 2014 so it has over a year left on the Fuso warranty until Nov 2019!)

Mitsubishi Duonic semi-automatic transmission (functioning both as a fully automatic transmission, or manually controlled via manual mode shifter – extremely easy to drive for everyone to drive. No clutch pedal involved.)

Manual front hubs to lock in four wheel drive.

High range gearing, better for on road travel. I have not experienced any difficulty at all keeping up with lower geared Earthcruisers offroad, and on road performance is noticeably better.

Front torsen type limited slip differential, factory rear LSD.

Front 16.5k Warn winch with warn pro synthetic rope, Factor 55 fairlead, and Factor 55 Ultrahook.

Emergency winch power cut-off switch, easily accessible from driver side of the vehicle while operating winch from the outside.

Earthcruiser leaf springs, most up to date front springs installed by Earthcruiser Dec 2017.

Timbren bump stops on front axle.

Radflow EarthCruiser spec shocks.

16″ Earthcruiser wheels.

Toyo Open Country M/T 315/75/R16 tires, good tread remaining

Earthcruiser (East Coast Bullbar) front bullbar, with mounted driving light.

Earthcruiser scrub bars/roof rack with two mounted 45 degree angle flood lights. (many photos of my truck on Instagram show an Alubox and roof rack basket - these are not included)

Earthcruiser heavy duty rear bumper, with Class IV hitch receiver and integrated brake/turn/running lights.

Custom fabricated aluminum rain gutter/debris shield to protect the baffles between the cab and the house.

Cab internal:

Cab fully insulated and soundproofed with Dynamat lining.

Cab (driver and passenger) LED map and reading lights, touch sensitive and multi-level light intensity.

Cab appointed with custom leather spring ride suspension seats with seat heaters, adjustable for angle, fore/back, and suspension level.

Matching leather center console with integrated USB 2.0 outlets.

Hidden safe in cab for valuables/weapons, easily accessible from driver and passenger positions.

Backup and forward facing mini cameras with in-cab display.

Viper alarm system with remote start.

Sony bluetooth compatible stereo head unit (powered by the house batteries, with remote to operate from the house area)

Uniden Pro 505XL CB radio.

Additional Options list as purchased from EarthCruiser:

EarthCruiser Radiator Protector – skid plate

CV boot covers/protectors

Increased fuel capacity – ~62 gallons.

Full cabin sound insulation using DynaMat adhesive high density sound insulation.

Front Torsion Type differential “locker”

Water purification system, with the capability to draw water from external supplies and filter via onboard Seagull IV filtration system (including a brand new spare filter)

EarthCruiser suspension seats with heaters – driver and passenger

Center console in cab with cup holders and storage compartment, USB ports.

Privacy screens

Upgraded lug nuts

Shovel holder rings

Extra 110v outlet

Safe in center console

Electric awning option

Pull out pantry in plumbing cabinet

Microwave recessed into ceiling

Extra rear utility light

Air compressor

Reading lights in cab

Forward facing camera

Bedside cabinet

DC air conditioner - This was installed after initial purchase with the latest version, installed in Dec 2017.

Rear bumper mounted spare tire carrier with Earthcruiser embroidered cover and trash bag.

Secondary water tank – additional 25 gallons with heater

DC fans mounted in ceiling

Onboard air compressor, hose, dual outlets (one on each side, located in tool locker). Switched on and off from the cab.

House:

All fiberglass and composite materials, extremely high quality moldings (think of a high end late model yacht or sailboat, and that’s exactly how it’s made).

Flooring is very heavy duty vinyl, single sheet, impact resistant, waterproof, and very easy to keep clean.

House access door is dust sealed, gasketed, capable of being secured to the outside while open, in addition has deadbolt and twin key lock. I also had a magnetic closing screen custom made for the doorway (it was a life saver in Atlantic Canada!)

House steps are retractable, and lighted. They will automatically retract if ignition is engaged while the steps are extended.

3 recessed 125W Solbian roof mounted solar panels.

TWO Blue Sky solar controllers/12v charge controllers. Earthcruiser generally only offers one controller with a maximum of 3 solar panels. I had a second controller added with two external connectors for deployable solar panels to capture that low angle morning/evening/winter sunshine. Included is one foldable 125W solar panel.

2000W Magnum Inverter

Marine-grade BEP systems control panel for managing power/water, utilizing owner configurable graphic readout panel, labeled and fully lighted circuit breaker/switches for the various house functions.

Two 270Ah Mastervolt AGM house batteries accessible from inside the house via floor access panel. Capable of being linked with the two truck batteries to start the truck in an emergency or charged with the truck inverter.

Webasto diesel-fired 2.9 gal water heater and for house heat

Two burner Webasto ceramic diesel-fired cooktop - one small corner piece of the glass/ceramic cooktop cracked when I dropped something on it. I glued it back in place and it does not effect the function of the unit. I will include a picture.

Roomy 12 VDC stainless steel Isotherm refrigerator/freezer (works out of level)

Seagull IV X-1 water filtration system – can safely pump water from lakes and streams to produce potable water

Numerous 120 VAC, USB 2.0, and 12 VDC receptacles throughout house, cab, and external rear storage compartments. All 120 VAC outlets are GFI controlled units.

950 watt Panasonic Microwave oven – ceiling mounted

Custom mounted 22” LG flat panel TV with an HDMI cable run to the bed area to connect a phone/ipad etc, and external coax input for cable or antenna.

Arctic Breeze 12V DC air conditioner, 6,000W 8,000 BTU

Two Sirocco 360° ceiling-integrated house fans, with timers and multiple power levels. Lockable in the retracted or deployed configuration

8 Dometic™ windows in house (including the extra lower dinette windows) –double insulated, privacy screen, insect screen

360° adjustable dinette

Full size double bed, with custom memory foam pad

Ample under bed storage, under mattress and three storage bins similar to drawers

Five drawer bedside cabinet

Eight kitchen/pantry drawers with pull-out pantry

Storage under dinette seat

Twin onboard water tanks, individually selectable, or can be linked. One 40 gallon, and one 25 gallon tank. Both can be used during freezing temperatures by utilizing external heat via air or external tank heater

Indoor and outdoor showers

Indoor and outdoor filtered water dispensing faucets

Retractable Thetford cassette toilet, with 6 gallon capacity cassette

Interior shower space is integrated with faucet/shower head, the retractable Thetford cassette toilet, integrated LED white/red light, and towel racks, along with storage for toiletries/shampoo/soap/etc. Utilizes a sliding translucent door to seal off shower space when necessary.

16 gallon gray water tank with main data panel water level readout.

LED lighting throughout, area selectable and dimmable – over dinette, bed, cooking area. Plenty of light to read or work. Individual reading lights in the bed area, and cab.

Large external-accessed storage compartments with lighting – one door on each side, with rear area of storage compartment having a large pass through area, suitable for skis, fishing rods, or anything else that’s long and bulky. Passenger side door folds down, enabling it to act as a work bench, quick kitchen prep area, etc. (Freezer can be placed in the passenger side compartment)

Tool lockers on both sides

Fiamma F65S power retractable awning on passenger side, controlled from switch panel just inside the house door.

Misc:

Buyer will be supplied with all service paperwork, subsystem manuals, EarthCruiser manual, Fuso FG manual.

I will be happy to provide extensive instruction on how everything works. It will take time to go over everything so an entire day or overnight test trip would probably be worth it. There is also a private Earthcruiser owners forum that has a ton of information and contact with other owners (it is a wonderful group of people)

Known Issues:

The truck has been well cared for, but has also been used like it should be. There are some scratches on the sides of the cab and house from squeezing down some narrow trails. They are all minor/superficial. The actuator that moves the toilet in and out failed so I have been moving it manually, a new actuator is on order from Earthcruiser and will be installed prior to sale. The corner of the Webasto cooktop chipped as described above.

I am probably forgetting some things, but will update this listing as necessary. Please feel free to reach out and I will get back to you as quickly as possible! Email is the best way to reach me adventureprise@yahoo.com. Thank you for looking!

This Earthcruiser also has a custom built (by Earthcruiser) hidden storage compartment for one or two long guns/rifles for those hunters out there. There are also brackets mounted to the ceiling inside to store fishing rods.

You have a very nice truck. My wife and I have been looking at the Earthcruiser lineup. They appear to be well thought out and executed. May I ask why you are looking to move to a smaller platform? Also, how has the fuso performed? Like what speed do you typically travel at? How does is perform on grades or passes? I am asking because I would likely be towing a drift boat, raft or jet sled with the vehicle we purchase. I am concerned the fuso might have trouble with the extra load.

Have you looked at the new EXD that Earthcruiser just developed? I am intrigued by that design.

Earthcruiser makes an excellent product. I have been nothing but thrilled with mine over the past two years. If I was traveling with two adults I would be keeping the FX, but since it is just me and the pup, we would be just as happy in something like Earthcruiser’s GZL.

The Fuso has been excellent. I usually set cruise control at 62-65 on the freeway. More than that and MPG starts to suffer. It does slow down on steep grades and passes but you get used to it, you’ll still be passing big rigs though. I’ve driven it cross country twice with no issues whatsoever.

I know of at least one other Earthcruiser who has towed a drift boat without any problems. I believe there are other instances of towing with them too but can’t think of them off the top of my head.

Haven’t seen the EXD in person yet but it looks cool. I’m curious though on a big long full size truck, it seems to me that the overall length will be about the same as the Fuso based platform but will less room? Not sure about that though.

Thanks for looking!

Latest update: the toilet actuator came in from Earthcruiser and has been installed and working again. Wash/wax may or may not happen due to weather (in San Diego?!) tomorrow so pictures may be postponed a few days.

I have spoken with several awesome people so far and appreciate the interest. I am willing to do facetime/whatsapp video chat walkthroughs for serious potential buyers.

Thank you!

very nice! we stopped by EC a few weeks ago and were impressed by the vehicle. My wife is not convinced yet we "need" one but time will come I guess.

Haven’t seen the EXD in person yet but it looks cool. I’m curious though on a big long full size truck, it seems to me that the overall length will be about the same as the Fuso based platform but will less room? Not sure about that though.

From another post , the vehicle shown in the build is 286" (~23' 10"). The box is 10' so you're right.
