I have been getting the truck and camper fine tuned, ready to take it to Alaska this summer, but unfortunately the trip for me is canceled. Over the last twelve months I have upgraded, replaced many components. Most of the engine sensors have been replaced with new AC Delco parts along with all of the fluids being changed. Any part that I thought should be changed out to make sure the truck would be very reliable I have changed.
The truck and camper are ready for the new owner to take it anywhere, this is more than capable of taking you to the most remote places, a one of a kind expedition adventure off-road camper.

Do you know who did the SAS?

Were the knock sensors part of all the replaced sensors?

Had any of the exhaust manifold bolts replaced?

Yes the knock sensors and harness were replaced along with the inlet valley cover gasket

The manifold bolts look like they have been replaced but not by me, I checked them and they all look good

Truck, suspension, tires, wheels all combine for a great look. What is the reason you went to 37" tires from 40" that the builder originally used?

And what, please, is the shock absorber looking rod that's attached to the (rear, I presume) differential with a yoke?

What do you get for gas mileage?

What kind of heater are you using/did you plan to use in AK?

Did you give any thought to some form of insulation for the fabric sides while in Alaska? I've often wondered how much of an insulative factor simple styrofoam 'boards' cut to fit the fabric sides, and with some kind of easily compressible foam on the boards' mating ends (so when the boards meet at 90 degree corners, the foam 'pads' will seal together, preventing drafts) held in place by friction or velcro, would offer in cold weather of, say 0 to -10 or so. These could be laid on the bed, floor, or dinette with camper lowered, and used when top raised.

I think the shock absorber thing that you are refering to, is on the front, it's part of the PSC sterring kit, https://www.pscmotorsports.com/

The last 1k trip that I did I got between 11-12mpg on the hwy

Has a built in propane furnace from the factory, works great

The camper stays nice and warm, never thought about extra insulation, always a compromise between space and what to take

I recently bought a 2001 GMC 2500 HD crew cab long bed from Krazytoy on the for sale portal. Jason did a great job building it and installed a 2008 f350 dana 60 solid front axle and stuffed 37" tires without it being over 7' tall with 5.38 gears. The idea is to put a flatbed with storage on it...
