Yep its on the rack. But the rack is far enough back to avoid the dreaded hood glare. What CB channel this year. Mine still has a flakely plug sadly, but works fine on batteries. Could not get it apart last night. Packing this morning as work is calming down at last.

I will be headed out from Barstow early AM Saturday stopping at 4 wheel parts before heading up to camp if anyone needs anything. Camp by 1-3PM Saturday?

I have a frs and a cb. If anyone uses an frs do channel 2. Cb will be channel 14. Adam and I will try to make camp as early as possible.

Hello AZ Crew. Been lurking in the trees up here. I live in Shaver and been watching your plans. The central valley is very smoggy and the potential for fire danger is Extreme - Extreme in the mountains. You should have camp fire permits! Forest service HQRS is in Prather on your way. Wait till you see all the dead trees. For the north bound crew don't take the sanger turn off The 99 to 41 - stay in the rt lane - to 180 to 168 is all freeway till the hills, much faster . 26 stop signs the other way .Some one mentioned getting fuel in Shaver, but it is very expensive. three eighty nine today. Fuel up in Fresno if you can. 60 miles from here, next best would be Prather 20 cents more /gal. 15 mile from shaver. Last is Cressman's at the top of the 4 lanes which is seven miles from our home. There is only one gas station in town . I am first street behind the station with a white gen 1 in the yard. I have learned so much from your crew and the forum . good wheelin! AnotherSteve

I think someone got a silly Campfire permit. Thanks for the advice. I usually do fill up before heading up, but always top off. With a long week of trails you need some fuel for sure. Too bad you cant join us, would be fun to have a local that knows the trails in such detail!
