Well there are a TON of nice winding roads in the hill country, if you ever feel like coming down for a ride. I'm actually looking for a tourer or a sport tourer RN.
I actually have a XR650L as well. If you come down you can ride the Husky or Honda. 😉

What are the bikes you're considering?
It's more of an ADV bike but, I've heard / read that BMW's big GS's make pretty good tourers.

Lol... I'm actually looking at that. GS or a 1290SAS/SAR. @Tex68w is actually looking into a used one his friend has as well to get me information on it and a price. I'm considering both new and used, and I'll mull over the benefits and otherwise as I get some prices together.

Looks fun. I like to ride my ATV more than two wheel. I haven't taken my bike to the hill country though. I always go to OK and AR.

Thanks man! I like it too. There are things I would change for sure. But all in all it's been an amazing and VERY reliable truck. Was getting 18.4 on the way back from our ride with the wind break of a bike behind me. So hand calculated I'd bet 17.8 to 18. Generally it's a bit lower than the lie-o-meter.

Yes our trip was over a few nights. We stayed two nights at a deer camp and one night in a motel.
But yes my family and I camp ALOT actually. This thread is full of our camping, and I've also been building this for my boys and to hold one bike when we go on adventures. https://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/family-adventure-m1102-trailer-build.235492/
And we got the Bowen bed to add a Hallmark. It was ordered a long time ago, and just waiting on the call when to pick it up.
