Nice set up, I love th arb bumper. You got the best winch set up you can buy! If you want to loose some weight in that winch give custom splice and factor55 a call, you would be surprised how heavy that cable is.

I really need to. It dropped the front end probably an inch and a half. Not sure how much it weighs, but it along with the bumper itself is probably 400+. Thanks! I'll give them a call.

Are you running a stock front suspension or an aftermarket one?

FWIW, I think that steel cable suits these trucks very well. A HD winch/cable for an HD truck. I'd think that moving the extra weight over a synthetic line isn't going to be an issue for that 6.7l Cummins.

Stock suspension springs coupled with AEV lift.

I agree that there are pluses and minuses to each, but I do see a synthetic rope in my future. The cable will serve its function for now.

It's interesting that the stock springs sag that much. Does FCA make a set of HD springs for snow-plow duty?

This actually has the snow plow prep group as orderd. I planned for this, and took into account that the truck already sat an inch or so higher than normal, I was just surprised at how much it dropped it. From 45 1/8" to 43 3/4", wheel well to ground. Some of this is tire pressure related and I can air up for, but either way, this bumper/winch combo is just HEAVY.

You would be surprised, I lost about 100 lbs by switching to syn line, but I switched because I had a friend cut a finger off over a frayed cable.

I did a little paint work late last night and into this morning. I ended up putting the whole front end off of the Cummins truck, onto the Hemi truck to rid the Hemi truck of the chrome front end. Then took the chrome grill from the Hemi truck and sanded and painted it with Rust-Oleum truck bed coating, which has the same textured finish as the ARB bumper. Then added the gloss black Ram badge, and bolted it to the Cummins truck. It all turned out nice.

Looks great.

Thank you good sir!

Great setup. I love arb stuff. I just installed a warn 16.5 on mine also. have you had a chance to pull with it yet? If so how does it do?

I like the ARB stuff as well. They seem to really take care of their customers, at least from my experience anyway. Enjoy that 16.5ti. I've used it when it was on the Hemi to do farm work pulling fence posts, stretching wire, etc. Been a very usefull tool. I've only had to use it once for recovery, and it was on a 2wd F150 stuck in beach sand. It is a priceless asset when you really need it.

I have pulled with it, although lightly. Pulled my approx. 9K lbs RV. It doesn't seem to care that it is back there. Take off in first, and pull like any other diesel truck.

You will not have any complaints with the 16.5! It’s the best winch you can get.

This!
