2019 Ford Ranger Taking Orders

The Canadian configurator just went live here. So i built one. Can't get a XL crew here. Or any 2WD's for that matter.

I built a 301A 4x4 XLT crew with the FX4 and trailer tow package pkg and the bed utility package.... $43,300.... FX4 and trailer tow added $2,000 to the bottom line...

Dang. The cheapest truck I can build with seating for 4 adults (XLT Crew), trailering package, and rear locker, would be $23 more biweekly (84 mo) than what I am paying on my 2018 Sierra Elevation.

But, for a more fair comparison, I can build a 2019 GMC Canyon SLE, with a long bed, and standard 7" touch screen for $2 less biweekly, but the GMC is cheaper because of a better finance rate.

So, in conclusion, the Ranger seems to be priced appropriately in its class when compared to similar models, considering it is a fresh offering, and deals will get better deeper in 2019.

Yep! I think I'd be waiting for the discounts to roll out. Plus, I'm still waiting for Gladiator pricing to be announced. I'm sure it'll be more than the Ranger. But, how much more?

Gotta keep an eye on these things now because *maybe* I'll be in the market in another 4 years, lol.....

I had been keeping a very close eye on the 2015+ Canyons, because I was pretty sure I would be buying one. But, when it was finally time to pull out my wallet, I put my money towards a full size. I'm still a fan of midsize trucks though, and closely follow all the news on them.

Same here. Time will tell if a midsize truck will work to replace my half ton when the time comes. We'll see. Might even end up with a gasser 3/4 ton. Depends what I'm hauling / towing at that point. I'd love to downsize everything though, lol. My wallet would be very happy.

wow seems like the fast lane guys were not overly impressed or at least that is how they came across to me.

All the reviewers are quick to point out the lack of a damped tailgate. Guess what? On a midsize truck, the tailgate ain't that heavy!

What happens when journalists and software engineers do the testing...

...don't think any of them have ever worked a hard day in their life.

Since I am currently at my desk reading that post..... I think I'll keep my trap shut. lol

Ha ha! Ohhh...I have no room to talk anymores. But in a past life we used to own an excavation/swimming pool/wood burning stove/etc business.

The tailgate on our Mack R-Series Tri-Axle dump...now that was a heavy SOB.

I just ordered one. Pretty much a loaded XLT, wife likes cloth better in cold weather. MSRP is $40,295.00, Invoice $38558.08. I work for Ford so it comes in at around $36900.00
First person I've heard of buying in. I look forward to seeing it!
