2019 Ford Ranger Taking Orders

9 mpg doing 60 and not being able to comfortably hold it up a hill or merge onto the interstate vs. 11 mpg doing 70 and easily holding it up a hill or accelerating is a pretty big difference.

My fuel economy is quite normal. Go look at any EcoBoost forum or group on Facebook and you will find no shortage of people getting similar numbers. You have to remember not everyone is driving a lifted 4x4 with oversized tired and a metric ton of "expo" **** bolted to it.

No idea why you had such an issue holding speed. My truck could easily hold its speed going up to 7000 foot passes.

I genuinely believe that a ten speed is better than a six speed transmission. And the Ford ten speed is proving to be a very good one.
The thing is the renger is still still needs to get more date to tune up and issues updates. Let’s not forget the Tacoma has receive three or more transmission’s software update. And people still are not happy. That’s why a guy on the Tacoma forum invented a shifting device to help the gearbox and he is selling it like a candy.

10 gears are just better. Ford just has to get more date to address all the bugs in the software.
Also, as for the crawl ratio the ranger is better 48:1 vs 37:1 Tacoma vs 41:1 Chevy Colorado.

I personally can’t sit in the Tacoma, and unfortunately for me I really like it. I hope the renger will better in that terms.

Fords 10 speed is an absolute beast. There are 650 HP Mustangs that can't destroy them and the Raptor can't make it flinch.

When deciding to only sell autos they did a focus group study. They only found one cheap sob in Idaho that wanted a manual lol.

Oh, I know. Manuals went out of fashion long ago. ********, I have never had a problem with an Automatic that I didn't cause through my own efforts. Even if you are gentle with a stick shift you'll eventually have to pull it to replace the clutch.

Manual trans cures all that, like the Toyota 5 speed manny over the 6...but, I am a dinosaur. :D

My stock clutch went 250K, and super cheap to fix compared to an auto.

Took the wife's SUV with an auto today to run errands... as much as I try to like it, just don't care for driving autos. Wish it had a manny in it. She shares the same thought too. But we got a screaming deal on it, sooo...it is what it is.

Well,I'm 6'4" and the Ranger is tight with a low roofline. No way I'd cram myself into one. The Tacoma is a bit boxier and accessible but I feel like I'm sitting on the floor rather then a seat. Next life I'll be 5'10".
