How does a person determine which trim/package comes with the 9.75" rear differential?

I built a Tremor yesterday.....the 402A High package adds $11k. It brings a lot of stuff with it, but that may be the most expensive package I've ever seen (on a vehicle I could actually afford).

I *think* that only comes with max tow or 3:73 gears...

Subscriptions for features in new cars is nothing new. I believe BMW and Mercedes offer heated seats for a monthly fee. When you look into the business investment world, subscriptions are always a must have to increase profits. Without them your valuation goes down! Crazy!

It blows my mind those features are on a monthly $ basis. Soon, the whole vehicle will be on a subscription.
“Yes, let’s subscribe to the front doors, trunk, and steering wheel today. All the kids, climb in through the trunk! And be quiet or I won’t buy you A/C today!”

There’s gotta be some 15 year old kid who could make thousands from a hack to enable all these features.

Subscription stuff hasn’t been hashed out yet. For web based video storage that makes sense. Storage and cell network access costs money. However!! There have already been lawsuits based on the fact that a buyer already paid for heated seats in the purchase price of the vehicle given it was listed as a included feature etc.

Even old subscription products like Ring security have built on site video storage products now to address the subscription issue around information security etc.

In the end consumers simply need to
Say NO thanks to that BS and it will go away

For Ford stuff, it's likely you'll be able to enable the features with a laptop and Forscan.
Crazy the stuff you can enable with it. Personally I don't want to go messing with my trucks systems cause I don't feel I'm techy enough but lots of people have had great success with it.

Hey guys I knowing towing and payload might be pretty important but they added a color too...

They heard the many dozens of us asking for a green, preferably a British racing green and decided to grace us with the lovely post sinus infection snot green.

Oh and I'm probably gonna have to steal the first pair of take off wheels I spot.

The 2.7 with payload package had the big axle. I thought all 3.5’s had it.

Damn it. I kinda like that color, lol

But you can't get the sport pkg on supercrews with the 6.5" bed anymore. Chrome only. So I'd pass on F150's for 2024 anyway.
See what happens when the next gen comes out. Guessing 2027 or 2028? That'll roughly be the time frame I'd be looking to replace this truck. See where we're at then and what my needs are. Who knows maybe then a 1/4 would work or I could need a 1 ton...

Nope. Most come with the 8.8.
I* think* PowerBoost and Max Tow's have the 3/4 floating 9.75.
3:55 with 3.5L Max Tow and 3:73's with PowerBoost or 5.0L
I think the 2.7 PP had it because it came with 3:73's.

I dig it in a "its so ugly its great way".

Also any special packages on the SCREW/6.5 bed is gonna be limited because those are gotta be 2nd lowest sellers. SCREW/5.5 is king, after that its whatever.

Def see more 5.5 bed trucks around here but I do see lots of 157" wheelbase F150's.
Maybe a regional thing? Maybe there's more in Alberta and Texas, lol
Most I see have the sport pkg too.
I'd be curious to see the take rate numbers... 10 to 1? 100 to 1?

That green is sweet.

I see 20:1 5.5 vs 6.5 Supercrews around here. 99% of folks use the bed for hauling bicycles and occasional home projects, which the 5.5’ is perfectly adequate.
I do wish for more bed space when camping. I considered one but couldn’t find one with the limited supply. Maybe next go around…

@Todd n Natalie and @phsycle I think 20 or 30 to 1 is a reasonable number. I don't see many 6.5 SCREWs at all. I see at least a dozen 5.5 SCREWS on any average trip.

Honestly, if you're getting a F150 with a SCREW and 6.5 bed theres almost NO reason not to get an F250..... besides cost and all that jazz.

It’s hard to find SuperCrews with the 6.5 ft bed. I look for them for our fleet trucks constantly. Rarely do I find them, and we arguably have more trucks available to us than anywhere in the US. I work in the Permian Basin, and travel all over for work. Our lots are always better stocked than anywhere else when it comes to trucks. We’re not limited to XLs and XLTs either. There’s just as many Platinum and KRs sitting on location out here as there are stripped down work trucks.
