Four door (Crew Cab) only, interesting. The front windshield rake is quite aggressive, but otherwise the exterior looks great. I'm interested to hear about interior dimensions. I wouldn't mind downsizing from my F150, but the current mid-size trucks needed just a few more inches of rear leg room for me to make it work with my growing boys.

Sounds like only 5'5 box again. And Canyon / Colorado nixed the 6' box option for this redesign.

I *think* I read the is a bit more legroom in this Ranger vs the last one. But, with 2 kids of my own, I understand wanting half ton room.

Mine are also 16 & 23. So not sure how much longer we'll all be travelling in the same vehicle....

I have an issue with the price. One place said "starting" at 58k...with markups and add ons you're getting dangerously close to the price of an F150 Raptor.

Overall, I am a fan especially since they're bigger than previous gen. I test drove the previous gen and felt like I was cramming into a sedan.

I have an issue with the prices of all new trucks.... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I did a build an price an a F150 reg cab long box 4x4. Plain jane XL. Just added a tow pkg and 2.7L. It came out to 56K.

Is the new Ranger made with aluminum, and any lighter?

I've been fiddling with the builders for Ford, Chevy, and Toyota. I can't build a truck I want/need in the half ton size for less than 60k CAD, and for the Chevy Colorado was still in the 50s, as was Frontier.

I'm just waiting for the crash that doesn't seem to be coming.

*Edit* outside of the optional 2.7 EB, the Ranger is the least appealing look wise of the newer mid size trucks. Nissan Frontier PRO 4X I think is nicest looking. New Colorado next, then Tacoma (which gets refreshed soon?)
If that's the 10R80 in the Ranger, that and the 2.7 would have obscene low end grunt with the super low first gear, depending what the transfer case ratio is.
Nissan has me interested with their low first gear, and an NA engine. If Toyota goes boosted, I'm almost willing to say Nissan pulls the Frontier at the end of this generation

I’m not sure I’d like it any lighter than the last one. My biggest complaints with my 19 was how much it got blown around and the small gas tank. Was a good truck though.

I like the new Ranger and think it will be a solid mid-size truck. I am somewhat let down by it though. I was hoping for a Crew Cab with a 6' box option. With Chevy/GM also nixing a 6' box option that leaves the Tacoma as the only truck with a 6' box. Ford is also using the same size cab so it's still pretty small inside. Toyota sells enough Tacoma's that I think they offer more cab and bed size configurations and retain a crew cab long bed option. They also teased a manual transmission option as well. If Toyota can improve the powertrain, gearing, cab and seating position then I think it will be a big step up from the 3rd gen.

I think the Frontier still comes with a crew cab 6' option.
Personally I'm not interested in any Nissan. Too many bad experiences with them falling apart after 125,000 miles / 200,000 kms.

This comment was meant for Raptor Ranger. Not regular ranger.

So Nissan is the only NA truck left in the game unless you count the Ridgeline or Santa Cruz.
Edit: Actually not even sure you can get an NA Santa Cruz in canada
