I loved this tire on my RRC and am thinking about running it on the wife's rig. Does anyone have pictures, experiences or any comments I am looking to find out what I can. Thanks

I have wanted to run these tires on my D2, but have been told that they need a 7 inch rim, I have never really done the research, but thats what I was told.

That's what I'm running on P38 steel wheels and I love them. They work great. I put in 2" spring spacers and everything clears and rides just fine.

I just put on BFG MT KM2 235/85/16 on P38 steel wheels (16x7). Everyone told me they would fit on stock suspension but I waited until I had my 2" OME installed. The tires still rubbed the front bumper! Not much, I trimmed about 1/2" from the lower corner. Maybe it was the tire I chose. I believe most tires this size are spec'd for 6" - 7.5" rims.

I ran that size years ago on stock rims. Didn't have any issues but it just didn't look right. 265-75-16 just looks better for the stance of the D2
My 2 cents worth...........

Yes they fit. (As other's have stated above.) I'm running BFG AT-KO's in 235/85r16...here is what my truck was looking like just after I put the tires on and then just after adding the 3" TF lift...

With stock suspension and 235/85 tires:

I think what he is talking about is diff or axle clearance, not tire clearance.

huh..again

Spring/shock lift:
increases the LENGTH of the spring, therefore increases the distance from the center of the hub to the wheel well. thus let's you run a larger tire.

Larger tire:
increases the clearance of the bottom of the diff to the ground

waiting for the BS to start flying...

How do you like the tire on the Rover rims? I would want to use the factory rims. Did you have a lot of troubles with those tires before the lift?

When mounting a 235/85/16 to a stock D2 alloy, you will find that the rim it'self will be more exposed to damage. The best way that I can explain it that the rim and the sidewall will almost be on the same plane. Very little protection compared to a 265/75/16.

x2. This is pretty clearly the case as can been seen in the before and after pictures I posted above...
