Mmmm .... tacos!

Nothing like making carne asada in the pouring rain to feed some hungry campers. Although a little on the "wet" side, they were tasty!

Big thanks to Christophe and the Overland Journal race team for inviting Overland Gourmet along for the ride. :)

We had a blast and it was great fun meeting Dave and Mike! They have definitely raised the bar for how I envision myself traveling the world.

A big thank you to Heidi as well. Not only was she the unofficial historian with the photos, but she worked that knot out of my shoulder that has been bugging me for weeks. No doubt Jonathan would be willing to pay good money to watch me squirm in pain again as she worked her magic.

Good times!

Nice job, way to stick it out. I'd rather be riding in the rain than sitting in a NYC hotel room (what I'm doing now) any day

Snow Peak makes them and the tops are out of bamboo. They run about $300 a piece, but they're more solid than anything else on the market. The table folds in half lengthwise and the legs tuck back underneath for storage. We use the heck out of them and I can't tell you how nice it is to have a solid work space at camp. Whether it is for eating, prepping food for the kitchen, or just having a study place to work at your laptop - they come in handy. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to get one.

I just made a quick blog post about this on the Overland Journal website. Definitely an awesome weekend hanging out with all of you!!

Here are Christophe (6) and Jim (657) at the beginning of the race, just after the Le Mans start:
