In this case this manufacturers Non computerized Diesels with VVT's use boost in a similar way that Gasser's use vacuum. I'd tell you what the turbo came off of but I'd have to kill you..

Merc uses a vacuum controller on their diesels.

Actually, gassers use manifold pressure, not vacuum to open the vanes or wastegate. I never even thought about it on a diesel, figured you'd do the same? Seems pretty straight forward.

It's actually huge compared to what's on there. Physically that is..
I figure it'll make even more difference on the TD5.

Vacuum? Sorry I was thinking of where the control line goes rather than what was happening inside the hose.
