I know it has been awhile since this dicussion ended, but my parents lived on the res 45 years ago, as well as my friends father. The reason for its name (as far as I have been told) comes from Navajo tradition, not Mormons, or any other religion.

This spot was in a famous movie filmed in Utah
Lots of ruins in this canyon worth checking out.
One of my favorite pics of me and the dog who we shared a flip pac with for a month
week 2 in Utah sure was fun
