PWMs always operate as one loop. That's all they *can* do. The only difference between bulk and absorb is what voltage they cut out at.

Absorb cuts out (goes to Float) depending on current and/or time, not voltage.

But whatever man...
This horse was actually dead a long time ago, I don't really feel like carrying on about it with you anymore.

It pulses. In other words, "cuts out" and back in again.

PWMs cut out (and back in) many times per second to regulate the battery voltage. In absorb, it's cutting out however often it needs to, to keep the battery voltage at 14.2v.

It'll shift the voltage set point from 14.2v down to whatever its float voltage set point is (say 13.6v) when current drops.

It will then keep cutting out (and back in) however often it needs to, to keep the battery voltage at 13.6v.

When I said, "cuts out", I wasn't talking about shifting the voltage set point ("dropping" from absorb to float). I was talking about cutting out. I.e., switching, a.k.a., pulsing.

Changing modes/stages is not "cutting out".

Dont every buy anything solar from main retail stores. they mark up solar like 1000%.

buy from the solarblvd.com or ebay. always do the matt cost per watt. you can get $1 a watt($45 for 45watt) from solarblvd vs 4wheel parts $12 per watt($160 for 16watts). If you ever have solar questions feel free to message me or ask the forum. Solar on my friend

I ordered a 35w panel from solarblvd for about $50 shipped to my front door in 3 days. They sent me an email with a special on a 45w panel for $60 shipped, so I bought that one, too. Now, they sent me another email for a 240w kit for $168. That's a darn-fine price if you ask me, but I don't have a need for it. I'm sticking with the 2 panels I have and mounted them on the roof of my Pup, along with a 10A controller. Gotta love that company!

That 240watt kit sounds like what I am looking for...I will have to check into that offer
