Damn!!!

I think so(?) I haven't really played with it beyond getting the rear unit to work. I have to check that the system is functioning. I noticed some serious corrosion where the lines sneak under the bottom of the frame crossmember. I might be replacing the stock metal lines with hose. They were gnarled up pretty badly! I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't all holding pressure.

There's a sticker under my hood with a bunch of info about the rear AC conversion. Maybe it can help you out.

Experimenting with my inverter. (Fp-1000-12)
Don't know much about it, but it seems to be working well.
It charges batteries when plugged in. Works as inverter when turned on. Seems to pass ac through when plugged in to shore power as well.

Anyone know what this outlet is? I has a constant 12v.
Not sure if I can find a connector for it.
Maybe I will just get two cig lighter recepticals to replace them.

Plugs themselves look like canon plugs. Real big with the military, or at least used to be. Civies can buy them too if you want that "mil-spec" look inside. All that aside, they are some pretty bomb proof connectors.

Most of those connectors are made by Amphenol. There are a number of places to get the connector bodies and terminals (like Mouser.com) and they're all over Ebay and industrial surplus stores. Some are solder type and some are crimp type terminals. The crimp style require a radial crimp tool.

.
On the other hand, you can find similar style connectors (plastic not cast Aluminum) from TE Connectivity that will probably fit the same mounting holes and they'll be a fraction of the cost of the Amphenol stuff.

Since time is an issue I think I will just replace those with two cig lighter sockets.

Next up AC.
My perfect solution to connect the box AC to the front went awry when I found that the front valves were stuck.
Broke one if them.
Managed to swap working valves from donor ambo.
But.. Dumped entire contents of front ac. Bye bye ice cold front ac.
Trying to get a refill today or tomorrow.
All should be well after that.
At least I did not damage the hard lines cranking on the stuck fittings.

My hard lines are so toasted. Barring POR-15 magically sealing them I'll be going to all soft lines and no valves.

What's up with that generator? Did you get it installed?

It is installed and runs but needs a carb rebuild to be practical. Right now it surges and runs rough. I'm going to pull it out till I can rebuild the carb and set up a fuel tank for it. It fits perfectly between the rear frame rails.

Dropping van off for an AC recharge tomorrow. Hope all goes smooth.
The box retained its r134, but I had to dump the front. All the valves seem to be holding pressure. Fingers crossed!!

Went with cig lighter sockets for simplicity.

AC recharge seems to have worked!!!
Cold air in cab and now in box as well

Inverter working well but 1000w may be a bit limiting. May need an upgrade at some point.

Overall productive day.
Next trip Friday!

Made it from NY to LA and back to NY.
All in all a good test if the truck and it's camp ability.

Had a break down in Colorado
Wheel Bering failure.

Got some Fox shocks and new front springs in San Diego.

I'll post details when I get some spare time.
I definitely learned some things!!
