Anyone know if the Gen-2 third row seats are compatible with a Gen 2.5
I am looking at yards trying find two of them but I’m not sure if I can consider a Gen 2 or not as a source.
thanks

The mounts part num is same for Gen 2 and 2.5, so the seats should be compatible. Part num is MB674239, num 14 in image.

Bump…..
Can someone confirm for me that the Gen-2 and Gen 2.5 third row seats are interchangeable…….I’m scoping salvage for rear seats and would really like to have a solid answer before driving a couple hundred miles to yank some seats.
thanks

I'm not sure you can swap them, but I also don’t see why not. Anyways here’s a pic of my gen 2.5 3rd row seats if that helps in any way.

I have a Gen 2.5……..really I guess this might not be a common problem. Maybe no one has needed to try it. I happen to have gotten rid of 2 sets of them in my Montero years and now being currently in need of them a 3rd time, I’m kicking myself for ever throwing them away. I also wonder if the 3rd row of a Sport might be compatible……

You followed me, so now we're both lost
I can recommend double checking part numbers on PartSouq in their catalog.
If P/N match, then it should be able to fit.

I think the seat material pattern was different, but I have Gen2.5 seats in my Gen2, had no issues. Mine was originally equipped with the third row, so if yours wasn't, make sure you get ALL the parts if yours didn't have them before, including the grab handles (to tie them up to), mounting plate MB674239 mentioned above and the mounting catches in the floor as well.

Yeah I don’t care what they look like……yes I had them as OE so all I need is to get some salvage. Thanks for confirming…..because I’ll likely need to drive a long ways to pull some from salvage.
