After 2 knee replacement surgeries, my wife finds this too difficult to travel in. We bought a small Class C instead.

The camper sleeps 4. It has an extra long queen sized bed in the rear. It has the sleeper cab for 1 adult and the dinette easily converts to another single bed for a child or small adult.


It has Arctic tern windows, door and cargo door.


It has 5 inches of insulation as the box is built from a Morgan Reefer box.


It has a heat pump to keep it cool or warm as needed


2800 watts of solar ( 28 100 watt panels).


48V battery bank consisting of 32 lithium ferrous oxide batteries

I bought it for 85K with the reefer box empty. I put a lot of time and money into the build. Current mileage is about 81,000.

Clean ring, thanks for sharing it with us. How was your experience building out the reefer box? I’m looking at placing a reefer box on the back of an M 1089. Did you have to do any sub frame work for getting the box off road? I’m sure break over angle would be a concern with Off Roading, do you consider this an expedition rig or more of a getting out of the snow type of 4 x 4?

Thanks. The five inch thick walls were tricky to cut cleanly and straight. The box has a thermal barrier at every stud which is great. My last rig was a job which was much more capable off road but I expect this to be excellent in snow, packed sand etc. Great for the western US and Baja.

I started wit an RV which couldn't even handle washboard roads without damage to cabinets and a cracked window. Then I had a MOG which could go anywhere but wouldn't fit 3 adults and 2 dogs...This rig can handle very bad roads, BLM and forest service roads etc. I would drive it to 99% of the places I've visited in Baja. In the Mog, I would park on the beach. In the Freightliner I would evaluate it more closely first.

The fit and finish of the cabinets is not professional quality but looks decent and is very strong...will outlast any motorhome factory cabinets.

Install greywater tank under truck


Install storage boxes if wanted under truck


Install Military grade bracket for spare tire under truck


Shower is plumbed to below the habitat and would need to be connected to the greywater tank when installed.


Plumb sink drain to greywater tank


Install trim around door and bedroom area (back wall)

Add some cosmetic siding to the exterior back wall


Install trim around shower supply lines if desired


Install 12V line to fan for Natures head toilet.


Install latching hardware on cabinets


Paint trim and some shelving


Buy or make cushions for dinette area (have fabric and may make them prior to sale)


Buy mattress


Install box extension and finish temped in heat pump wiring connection

Also is there a site that has additional photos of the bed area, battery storage etc?
