4-link pivoting subframe pics

Would anyone care to share pics and discuss how it works?

I understand 3-link but when I hear 4-link I think of 4-link suspensions and I know it is not the same. I understand the four pivots and locations but can't wrap my little brain around how it actually works.

How does a subframe twist in the roll axis if it is rigidly connected in the center by side pivots? And vice versa.

Thanks,

Nick

I think a better name for it is a "diamond" as its shaped like that. Works the same as a 3 point or "triangle" but is better especially for longer boxes.

The two side mounts are more or less rigid - the front and rear are pivots. I think the go with spring mounts for the two side ones myself.
