Has anyone looked into swapping a 2.4L 4G69 into Gen 1 or 2 montero? I think I've only seen FWD configurations, but can a RWD trans bolt up to the engine? These engines are cheap and easy to find, a bit more underpowered than the 6G but appear to be simpler to work on. I'm really tired of wrenching on these V6's and would easily trade a loss of HP for ease of maintenance.
