Wiffleball Batter
I'm going to ask a dumb question, hope I don't get flamed. :sombrero:
My new (to me) '07 does not have the factory reciever in the rear bumper. Looking underneath, though, it does have what appears to be a 7-pin (round) trailer electrical connector.
From what I've seen the factory receiver is just a small receiver mount that bolts to the frame. Seems to me the wiring must be there, otherwise why would the 7 pin connector be there (I guess what I'm asking here is, is there any reason to believe that the 7 pin connector is not wired in?)
I don't have a 7 pin tester but I suppose I can get one and then plug it in to check but I wanted to get a "reality check" here to see if anyone has heard of a 7 pin connector being present but not "connected" or else a "dummy" 7 pin connector installed.
Assuming the 7 pin connector is all wired up, the only thing I need to tow is a 7 pin to 4 pin adapter (both trailers have the simple 4 pin connection) an then just get the factory receiver. Bolt in the receiver, punch out the insert in the bumper for the access hole (I assume there's a punch-out there) and I'm good to go. Sound reasonable?
