Figured this was the best place as any to ask
I installed a manual transfer case on my 2wd truck when I converted to 4wd. I am looking to add some type of indicator light to show what drive I am in. I sometimes have other people drive my truck, and I really don't want them driving down the road in 4wd unless needed.
The transfer case has a ball socket style switch. The OEM 4wd lights are on the gauges, but i prefer not to have to replace them with a 4wd unit. Is there any makes/models that I could get a dash mount light off of and wire in?
The oem unit uses a resistor on the power wire that when the ball is in full contact the 4wdlo light comes on as well, not sure If i can duplicate that or not
any thoughts?
